Abstract: Embodiments include systems, methods, and apparatuses for reading a data signal from a memory, such as a dynamic random access memory (DRAM). In one embodiment, a memory receiver may include a differential amplifier to receive a data signal from the memory and pass a differential output signal based on a voltage difference between the data signal and a reference voltage. The data signal may have a first direct current (DC) average voltage level, and the differential amplifier may shift the differential output signal to a second DC average voltage level that is substantially constant over a range of values of the first DC average voltage level. In another embodiment, a voltage offset compensation (VOC) circuit may apply a compensation voltage to the output signal that is based on an activated rank or an identity of the memory module. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: A selector selects an analog audio signal input to one input port from among analog audio signals input to multiple input ports according to an instruction from the user. An analog gain control circuit amplifies the analog audio signal received from the selector, with a corresponding one of the gains set for the respective input ports. An analog gain control circuit is configured to gradually change its gain when the gain is switched. An A/D converter converts an output signal of the analog gain control circuit into a digital audio signal. A first audio signal processing circuit is monolithically integrated on a signal semiconductor substrate.

  • Patent number: 8918070
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed related to tuning a resonant frequency of an LC circuit. In some implementations, the LC circuit can be embodied in a low noise amplifier (LNA) of a receiver. The receiver can include a component configured to generate an indicator of received signal strength indication (RSSI) of a radio frequency (RF) signal received by the receiver. A control block can adjust the resonant frequency of the LC circuit based at least in part on the indicator of RSSI. As another example, the receiver can include an oscillator, such as a VCO, separate from the LC circuit that can be used to tune the resonant frequency of the LC circuit. These apparatus can compensate for variation in a zero imaginary component of an impedance across the LC circuit.

  • Patent number: 8913961
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed which relate to mitigating the detrimental effects of interference to electronic devices from mobile telephones utilizing any form of time-domain multiplexing technology. A wireless transmitter inside the mobile telephone broadcasts a warning transmission which can be received by affected devices. Once the warning transmission is received by an affected device, the device activates a blanking circuit comprising an actuator and a switch or switches. The switches open for the duration of the interference so that the user does not receive undesired output such as: noise through a speaker, noise through a microphone, or other interference with electrical signals.

  • Patent number: 7734265
Abstract: In an audio muting circuit, after a short delay from a first time at which a first mute signal generation circuit causes a first mute signal to fall from “H” level to “L” level, a second mute signal generation circuit causes a second mute signal to fall from “H” level to “L” level at a second time. A third mute signal generated by combining the first and second mute signals is caused to fall from “H” level to a predetermined level at the first time, and caused to fall from the predetermined level to “L” level at the second time. Thus, at the start of muting, the level of an audio signal is increased in stepwise manner. In this way, noise generated at the start of muting can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6480722
Abstract: Radio receivers which switches the received voice signal according to a supervisory signal used for supervising the condition of the propagation path through which the voice signal is transmitted are known. However, if the reception level of the radio wave received by a conventional radio receiver is low, the level of the supervisory signal becomes lower while the level of the noise accompanying the supervisory signal becomes higher, whereby the noise acts like the supervisory signal so as to provide a voice signal containing a lot of noise to the user of the radio receiver. To solve this problem, the radio receiver according to the present invention compares the level of the supervisory signal and the level of the noise accompanying the supervisory signal, so as to control the outputting of the voice signal according to the comparison result.
