Abstract: A programmable locking assembly for an insulated enclosure such as a food delivery box that can be unlocked by the recipient of the box, by pressing a number code on the keypad of the lock, causing a locking finger to slide out from a zipper pull on the lid of the insulated enclosure to allow the recipient unzip the lid to have access to the contents of the enclosure, thereby preventing the food delivery person to access the contents of the enclosure while in route to making the delivery. The number code is texted to the recipient from the sender of the enclosure. In an alternate embodiment, an audio tone can open the lock without the user needing to press numbers on the keypad.

  • Patent number: 8433251
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus and computer program products are provided to facilitate the configuration and allocation of control information associated with transmissions of a wireless communication system. In systems that utilize multiple component carriers, cross-carrier signaling may be used to carry the control information associated with one component carrier on a different component carrier. By allowing control information messages to share their allocated search spaces, the number of decoding attempts needed to obtain control information can be kept within desirable limits while improving scheduling and resource allocation flexibility. This Abstract is provided for the sole purpose of complying with the Abstract requirement rules that allow a reader to quickly ascertain the disclosed subject matter. Therefore, it is to be understood that it should not be used to interpret or limit the scope or the meaning of the claims.

Abstract: Techniques for determining interference-suppressing downlink transmission parameters in a wireless network using coordinated multi-point (CoMP) transmission are disclosed. In each of several iterations of an exemplary method, a tentative user-specific antenna beam-forming vector for the antennas of the first cell is formed for each of several first mobile stations served by the cell and for each of several second mobiles in neighboring cells, based on a most recent tentative virtual allocation of uplink transmitter power to each of the mobile stations and virtual uplink signal-to-noise-plus-interference ratios for the mobile stations that account for inter-cell interference.

Abstract: Function-control instructions for controlling a function or feature of a device can be created remotely, locally, or both. A device can receive a function-control instruction or a function-control instruction embedded in received content. Additionally, or alternatively, a function-control instruction can be created locally based on user information or calibration information. Function-control instructions can be passed to an instruction execution application that interprets the function-control instruction. The instruction execution application can pass instructions, based on the function-control instruction, to the device for implementation.

Abstract: A receiver operates in a mobile communication system that comprises first node and second nodes, the first and second nodes transmitting common control signals and dedicated data signals, respectively. The receiver determines a first timing rotation and/or a first frequency rotation of the common control signals and a second timing rotation and/or a second frequency rotation of the dedicated data signals. The receiver determines a first and/or second difference, wherein the first difference is a difference between the first timing rotation of the common control signals and the second timing rotation of the dedicated data signals and the second difference is a difference between the first frequency rotation of the common control signals and the second frequency rotation of the dedicated data signals. An adapted timing of dedicated data signals is produced based on the first and/or second differences, and the adapted timing is used to receive dedicated data signals.
