Remote Control Of Receiver Patents (Class 455/352)
  • Patent number: 4621375
Abstract: For the remote control of construction machinery, more specially in the form of the distribution mast or boom of a concrete pump, in the invention a transmission system has a radio remote control unit whose control transmitter and receiver are joined up with the command unit and with the distributor for the solenoid valves respectively by respective plug contact connector means. The transmission mode is one using digitally encoded RF messages so that for each control function two part-messages are continuously transmitted after the connections have been made, such messages each being made up of a bit representative of the function, of address information and of a parity bit for security, and mirroring the condition of the circuits of the command unit. The receiver has a RF receiving part, a central process controller and a relay part or a D/A converter.

  • Patent number: 4479262
Abstract: Static audio-frequency control receiver for the time impulse interval process, consisting of a micro-computer, an electronic computing means and an evaluation component. In the micro-computer, a number of impulse scanning patterns are stored, and a programming field is formed for the selection of the impulse scanning pattern governing at the installation location. The programming field consists of a crossbar distribution panel with junctions from the outputs of the micro-computer with three inputs per command execution relay. The inputs for each of the relays have further connections for programming impulse scanning patterns. The micro-computer produces a series of rapid impulses upon connection, and performs a self-activating operation tests. The impulse scanning patterns cause connections to be made in the arithmetic unit for the production of impulse sequences in real time to the audio-frequency control command - impulse sequences. The micro-computer also has a synchronizing input.

  • Patent number: 4386371
Abstract: In a wired remote control for use with a television receiver, audio signals are coupled to a loudspeaker by a transformer providing electrical isolation. The remote control device comprises an oscillator applying a signal at a frequency above the audio range to the transformer and a rectifier at the transformer secondary converting the oscillator signal to a DC signal. That DC signal is selectively applied by a switch to an optocoupler which couples to a control device for controlling the audio source. A filter blocks the oscillator signal from the speaker. Additionally, the control device controls TV channel selection.

  • Patent number: 4334319
Abstract: A battery-powered receiver having a switch for disconnecting the battery from radio frequency detection circuits within the receiver upon receipt of a sequence of coded address and command signals. Each address and command signal is a radio frequency modulated with an audio or tone frequency. A tone decoder within the receiver is sensitive to audio signals whose frequencies lie within any one of sixteen predetermined frequency ranges. Stored at the output of the decoder is an address code of two or more numbers representing tone frequencies, these numbers being representative of the particular receiver or group of receivers. A sequence of audio signals detected by the tone detector is compared with the stored address code. If the address signals are followed by a coded command signal, made up of a tone signal or sequence of tone signals, the tone detector gives an output which causes the battery switch to be opened for a time determined by the coding of the command signal.

  • Patent number: 4245347
Abstract: The invention is directed to a remote equipment control system having a low duty cycle communications link between a remote command transmitter and a remote receiver. The remote receiver is controllingly coupled to the equipment. The remote command transmitter includes a means to transmit a message signal of set time duration at a preselected message separation interval. The message signal has a unique address portion and a command portion. The remote receiver includes a decoding unit and a timing circuit. The decoding unit is responsive to the unique address portion of a received message to provide an enabling signal to be delivered to the timing circuit. The timing circuit upon receipt of the enabling signal provides an output to the decoding unit to prevent entry of any message signal to the decoder for a time duration matching the preselected message separation interval and allowing entry of a message signal for a time duration matching the time duration of the message signal.
