  • Patent number: 10104577
Abstract: Disclosed are an MBMS bearer-based method and system for reporting a congestion state in cluster communication and a storage medium. The method comprises: when user-side and/or control-side congestion or overload indication information reported by a network node of a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) bearer-based cluster service is received, a cluster service application server determines a target user equipment (UE) and a cluster service being affected, executes a corresponding policy, and mitigates impacts of congestion or overload on the target UE receiving the cluster service; and, when resume indication information reported by the network node is received, the cluster service application server utilizes the restored network node to select a bearer mode for transmitting the cluster service. The technical solution of embodiments of the present invention mitigates the impacts of network congestion or overload on the cluster service, thus enhancing user experience with the service.

  • Patent number: 9673944
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for controlling packet access, a network side device, a terminal device and a communication system. The method includes: generating an access trigger message, where the access trigger message carries a temporary mobile group identity TMGI allocated to a user equipment UE; and sending the access trigger message to packet trigger an access operation of the UE for the TMGI. In the embodiments of the present invention, the group identity TMGI already existing in an MBMS can be used as the group identity of packet triggering UE access, and the access trigger message carrying the TMGI can be correspondingly generated and sent so as to trigger an access operation of the UE belonging to the TMGI, thereby implementing the function of the packet triggering user access.

Abstract: The indoor/outdoor call judgment method comprises the following steps. Firstly, to build an algorithm and indicator function for determining indoor/outdoor call by analyzing drive test data. Secondly, to retrieve the event log data to be judged by the method, and find the position of the retrieved event log data by means of geo-location tools. Thirdly, to determine whether the retrieved event log data are referring to a moving call, if “YES”, then the event log is determined to be referring to an outdoor call. Fourthly, to determine whether or not the event log data are referring to an Indoor call by using the pre-built algorithm and the indicator function. Users' behavior, Cell antenna module and signal strength difference are considered when building the algorithm and indicator function so as to increase the accuracy of the indoor/outdoor call judgment method.

Abstract: Once a voicemail is received, it is the onus of the recipient of the voicemail message to call the caller back when a “missed call” message is received on the phone or after the voicemail message is retrieved. While some of the more advanced voicemail systems provide the capability of automatically placing a call from the callee back to the caller upon completion of the callee listening to the voicemail message, an exemplary embodiment of the present invention allows the caller to be connected to the callee should the callee become available while the caller is leaving a voicemail message for the callee.

Abstract: Embodiments of a location sharing network manager process are described. The process is executed on a server computer coupled to a plurality of mobile communication devices over a wireless network. Each mobile device is a location-aware mobile communication device. The process determines the geographic location of a mobile communication device operated by a user within an area, displays a map representation of the area around the mobile communication device on a graphical user interface of the mobile communication device, and superimposes on the map the respective locations of one or more other trusted users of mobile communication devices coupled to the mobile communication device over the network. A journal creation and management component provides tools for users to create and store user-generated content in the form of an online journal. This user-generated content can be automatically tagged with location information provided by the location-aware mobile communication device.
