The method further includes, when there exists a second event alarm having a second reminding time later than the first reminding time, outputting second reminding information according to the second event alarm at the second reminding time.

The radio node (110) measures, on an amount of resources, received power to obtain values of received power. The values of received power include a respective value of received power for each resource of the amount of resources. The received power includes power of any existing beacon signals received from one or more of the further radio nodes (120, 130, 140). The radio node (110) selects at least one resource out of the amount of resources. The respective value of received power for the selected at least one resource is among the least of the obtained respective values of received power. Abstract: A method and system for updating physical location data associated with a VoIP endpoint device is implemented in a variety of embodiments. In one such embodiment, a VoIP endpoint device stores an identifier for a packet-communicating device which is subject to changing. The VoIP endpoint device has an interface for communication over the Internet via the packet-communicating device and uses a circuit-implemented method for prompting a VoIP user to update physical location data associated with the VoIP endpoint device. In response to a power state transition and a change in the stored identifier, the VoIP endpoint device facilitates an update to the physical location data associated with the VoIP service.

Abstract: A relay node identified by a unique relay node identifier relays communications between a donor base station and one or more user terminals. The donor base station acquires the relay node identifier during a relay node attach procedure from where the relay node or another node in the core network (e.g., mobile management entity). The donor base station may use the relay node identifier to retrieve configuration information for the relay node. The configuration information may be used to configure the relay node, to perform radio resource management functions, and/or to monitor the performance of the relay node.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for automated social networking for e-meetings. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for automated social networking for e-meetings is provided. The method includes monitoring content provided to an e-meeting managed by an e-meeting server executing in memory of a host computer. The method further includes detecting a name in the monitored content and comparing the detected name to names in a contact list for a social networking system executing externally to the e-meeting. Finally, the method includes triggering generation of a social networking introduction for the name to different participants to the e-meeting in response to matching the detected name to a name in the contact list.

Abstract: Relevant geospatial data is provided to a portable device. In particular, several activity detection results collected over a period of time, spanning several time intervals, are received, where each activity detection result provides an estimate of the portable device activity, and where the activity detection results indicate at least two different activities. A single predominant activity of the portable device is determined using the activity detection results. Based on the predominant activity, geospatial data is selected and then provided to the portable device.

A list that is specified by the second call participant is accessed. The list specifies users of an electronic communications system for which contact information is maintained. Whether the first call participant is included in the list of users is determined. A group of one or more of the users included in the list of users with which the first call participant is associated is identified when the first call participant is included in the list of users. A rule associated with the identified group that indicates a manner in which electronic communications of the first or second call participants should be handled is accessed, and a manner in which the call should be handled that is in accordance with the accessed rule is identified.

Advertisers transmit advertisements, such as directory listings, coupons, offers and promotions to a mobile advertising service. Each advertisement is associated with at least one geospatial location and at least one category. Users of mobile communication networks submit queries, via their mobile devices, to the mobile adverting service for advertisements relevant to the users' current geospatial location and interests. Advertisements meeting query criteria are selected and transmitted to the users' mobile devices.

Abstract: A mechanism to enable roaming queries prior to association/authentication while maintaining the advantages of power saving mechanisms can be implemented. The mechanism can involve requiring a mobile terminal to request the desired information a second time so that the access point may take sufficient time to obtain the desired information. One example method of operation may include identifying a group of participants to receive a broadcast message transmitted from a wireless device, transmitting at least one broadcast message from the wireless device to a plurality of computing devices corresponding to the group of participants, receiving a plurality of response messages responsive to the at least one transmitted broadcast message, examining the plurality of response messages and extracting content of the plurality of response messages, generating a summary message based on the extracted content of the plurality of response messages, the summary message comprising portions from all of the plurality of response messages and also comprising information unique to each of the plurality of response messages, and displaying the summary message on a display interface of the wireless device.

A version of the advertisement is rendered for the second device, where the version rendered is dependent upon the determined capabilities of the second device. And, utilizing the communication path, the rendered version of the advertisement is communicated to the second device.

In other implementations, particular users may have telecommunication services disabled by an administrator in the event of a catastrophe or emergency. By this mechanism, users that are not proximate to a particular catastrophe or emergency area according to the users' schedule may have services disabled while other users that are located more proximate to the emergency may have their telecommunication services enabled.

In various embodiments, a host device may include a processing unit in communication with a communication module and a separate CPWC module. An edge device may include a processing unit in communication with a communication module and a CPWC tag. If the abbreviated code is a valid code and the dialed user equipment is currently in the femtocell network service area, the PBX may then complete the call setup within the femtocell network.
