  • Patent number: 9521096
Abstract: Clients in a data network can subscribe to CTI Services and in this regard must be reachable by the CSTA gateway (CCGW). If this is not the case, because for example an error occurs in the data network, then the transmission of unnecessary messages can be prevented or stopped. The clients can be connected via a server to the CCGW, where the server monitors the status of the clients and acknowledges the messages addressed to an unreachable client with error messages. The server is preferably an XMPP server and the clients are preferably XMPP clients. In order to permit transport of the CSTA messages via XMPP, info/query stanzas according to RFC 3920 can be used, since they have the advantage over message stanzas that they can be acknowledged by a remote station.

As the speed of expansion busses has increased, it has become increasingly difficult to provide an expansion box and interconnect to that expansion box that is reliable and low cost. For example, PCI Express Gen 3 provides a very high speed interconnect, allowing data rates up to 32 GBytes/sec in some configurations. Various techniques to maintain the signal integrity of this expansion bus, even over distances greater than 1 meter, are disclosed. • Patent number: 8688094
Abstract: A method of operating a mobile communication system-supporting data transmission between a mobile station (MS) and a network in a number of different packet data protocols (PDPs) including a point-to-multipoint-multicast (PTM-M) protocol PDP data is formatted and unformatted by a sub-network dependent convergence protocol (SNDCP) according to the PDP of data. The PDP is identified to the SNDCP by a protocol identifier transmitted between the network and the mobile station. In order to allow a MS to receive a PTM-M in an IDLE state, a unique protocol identifier is permanently assigned to PTM-M transmissions while other identifiers are dynamically assigned to other PDPs by the network.

  • Patent number: 8665933
Abstract: A data transmitting and receiving device and method are used for saving powers and maintaining the connection quality, stability and continuous link. The method includes the step of gradually adjusting the de-emphasis of the signal transmitted from the data transmitting and receiving device according to the setting value thereof. The method also includes the steps of transmitting training sequence signal with an amplitude and the default de-emphasis by the data transmitting and receiving device to the remote device, receiving the training sequence signal from the remote device, thereby the channel attenuation is estimated using the method, and a better de-emphasis is set up. Then, the data transmitting and receiving device gradually increases the amplitude of the training sequence signal and re-transmits it until the remote device receives the training sequence signal transmitted therefrom.

  • Patent number: 8634806
Abstract: In regard to a radio-controlled communication system (1), which comprises a base station (2) and at least one single mobile part (3), a registration procedure, which is simplified for a user, is proposed for registering the mobile part (3) at the base station (2). The registration procedure operates such that upon a first PIN request by the base station (2) to the mobile part (3), the mobile part (3) automatically transmits a so-called default PIN to the base station (3). If said default PIN is correct, the registration procedure is successful. If said default PIN is incorrect, the base station (2) checks for the existence of the so-called default PIN. If said default PIN does not exist, the registration procedure is ended. If the PIN exists, a user of the mobile part (3) receives the possibility to manually input the PIN, and the registration procedure is continued upon the check of the transmitted PIN for correctness.
