  • Nut
    Patent number: 11204056
Abstract: A layered nut (10) comprises a plurality of thin nuts (12) formed with through-holes (16) having almost the same diameter. On the inner peripheral surface of each thin nut (12), a plurality of screw threads (18, 38) are formed at predetermined angular spacing so as to protrude toward the inside of the through-hole (16). In this case, the thin nuts (12) are layered along the direction of the central axis (14) so that the through-holes (16) become approximately coaxial. The outer peripheral surfaces of the layered thin nuts (12) are subjected to laser welding or the like, thereby joining the thin nuts (12) and completing the layered nut (10).

  • Patent number: 8485910
Abstract: A fastener includes a t-nut having a barrel and a flange. The flange includes an opening which leads to a threaded barrel. The threaded barrel extends from the opening in the flange to a distal end portion thereof. An end cap has an annular recess on a first side thereof and has a raised annular ridge on a second side thereof. The raised annular ridge of the end cap is affixed to the flange of the t-nut by welding the end cap to the flange. Dirt, water and moisture cannot enter the barrel because the end cap is sealed to the flange. Additionally, the barrel may be relatively short as it is fully threaded prior to the affixation of the end cap to the flange.

  • Publication number: 20120177460
Abstract: The invention provides a lock nut with a nut body which has a threaded section with an internal thread and an adjoining inner annular groove. An annular lock washer made of metal is held in the annular groove. An internal thread corresponding to the nut thread is cut into the inner circumference of the annular washer, and the internal thread of the annular washer is offset axially in relation to the nut thread by a distance which is smaller than a thread pitch of the nut thread. According to the invention, the thickness of the annular washer at the inside diameter thereof is greater than the thickness of the annular washer at the outside diameter to thereof. As a result, the elasticity of the annular lock washer and the holding force of the lock nut can be adjusted.
