The prop is then retrieved from the landing area using a crane or other lifter and returned to the catapult for a subsequent launch. By launching a prop in a theater with a catapult, the audience sees true free flight, rather than an illusion of flight. The audience sees no supports or other devices which can diminish the effect. A catapult allows a prop to be launched directly at the audience at a realistic or full speed, creating a more dramatic effect than if a prop is moved about some distant stage area using cables or a boom.

The present invention relates to a theater comprising a circular arena having a 360 degree media surface and tiered seating on preferably hydraulic platforms that can be raised or lowered automatically. Seats may rotate by sections and follow the action of the show to ensure that the audience witnesses every aspect of the production. The individual seats may rotate via automated control and preferably include surround-sound speakers built into the headrests. Appliances built into the seats, armrests and nearby flooring can create a changing thematic environment to complete the sensory experience. A center stage along with stage runners may be hydraulically raised or lowered depending upon the production.

A compressed air source is linked to the shooter to drive the charge of water from the shooter during the explosion sequence. Prop pieces are ejected from the shooter through the water surface and trajectories over a submerged collector substantially surrounding the shooter. The collector is displaceable through an underwater winching system from a collect position wherein the props settle onto the collector to a funnel position wherein the props fall under gravity into the shooter. The shooter extends from a loading position below the collector to a shooting position close to the water surface.

    Abstract: A jumping rope for exercising including extendible handles for adjustably altering the moment of force imposed by the swinging rope. The jump rope construction includes evenly extended handles at each end thereof, the extendible handles comprised of a series of sections which can shorten or lengthen the distance between the user's hands and a ball bearing assembly within which the rope is secured. The rope is joined to the first handle section by a ball bearing assembly which is recessed from the handle shoulder. The first section is a terminal coupling and has a tapered cross-section at the shoulder thereof to reduce the friction between the rope and the shoulder of the handle section. The opposite end of the receiving handle section is joined to a mating extension which can be easily gripped by the user.
