Abstract: An apparatus comprises a shaft; an openable and closable canopy; and a plurality of upwardly extending holding chambers on an underside of the canopy. The apparatus is thought to be particularly useful as a golf chipping game, with golf balls being chipped into the holding chambers as target practice.
Abstract: A tennis court ball retainer having a horizontally extending ball gutter along the tennis court back wall which has an upwardly facing channel dimensioned to receive and retain tennis balls. An upright flexible upper backdrop curtain coextends directly above and along the ball gutter for engaging tennis balls striking the upper curtain, thereby dampening the tennis ball impact and directing the engaged tennis balls to fall into the ball gutter for retention. A tennis court floor surface ball retainer is also provided and coextends with and under the ball gutter. The ball gutter extends a uniform distance above the tennis court floor surface and includes an upright flexible lower backdrop curtain coextending below and along the ball gutter for engaging and trapping tennis balls striking this lower curtain by rolling or skidding on the tennis court floor surface.
Abstract: A compact, low profile golf putting practice apparatus includes a two-part flipper including a longitudinal flipping member and a coaxially mounted base section supporting the flipper member. A torsion spring pivots the flipper from its retracted position into an extended position whereby it propels a ball forwardly from a pocket area, and a powered retractor reversely pivots the flipper from its extended orientation into its retracted orientation. For safety, the two sections of the flipper are normally coupled together for movement as a unit by a resilient coupler which is capable of expanding temporarily when the flipper encounters an obstruction to its movement from the extended orientation to the retracted orientation.
Abstract: A golf putting practice device (10) having a ball tray (16) that can be pivoted from the normally flat position for ball retrieval to fold substantially upright against the body of the main housing (12) for compact storage or transport. A spring-powered flipper device (28) is pivotally mounted between the base (14) and main housing (12) top and horizontally disposed along the rear face of the ball tray (16) to return the ball to the person making the putt.
Abstract: A laser aiming device placed on a surface for practicing the game of golf is disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing simulating a generally circular golf hole for putting thereat, the surface for putting a golf ball thereon. A laser module emitting a laser beam is mounted adjacent the hole and projects the laser beam forwardly thereof providing an illuminated reference for aligning a putter with respect thereto, thus, enhancing the practice of putting.
Abstract: A golf putting practice device adapted to serve as a substitute for a floor vent that fits into a floor duct of a forced air circulation system of a building and includes a cup shaped ball receiving enclosure and at least one flat support plate member extended outwardly from the ball receiving enclosure. A bottom of the receiving enclosure includes a ball return mechanism that ejects a ball from such enclosure. A plurality of apertures are formed in the support plate member to allow for air flow through the plate.
