A score probability distribution may be assigned to the predicted outcomes to generate predicted hole scores. Simulations may be analyzed for predicted outcome probabilities such as win probability, cutline, or Top-10 finish probability. The simulations may be updated during actual play by replacing predicted scores with actual scores. Predicted outcome probabilities may be updated based on the updated simulations updated to include the actual scores.

A base unit is integrated into the golf bag and the base unit is in remote communication with the personal electronic device thereby facilitating the personal electronic device to download the number of tracking units that is assigned to the golf bag. The base unit is in remote communication with each of the tracking units and the base unit generates an alert when the base unit ceases communicating with any of the tracking units. In this way a user is alerted that one or more golf clubs is missing from the golf bag to inhibit the golf clubs from being lost or misplaced.

The receptacle portion configured as a concavity and conforming to the convexity of the rangefinder device whereby when the accessory and rangefinder device are in proximity with each other they are magnetically coupled with the convexity positioned in the concavity. After determining that the data corresponds to a swing event, the swing detection system will determine whether a data transfer processor is communicatively connected to an external system. If it is connected, the swing detection system will transfer the data set to the data transfer processor for communication to the external system. Otherwise, the swing detection system will save a first copy of the data set to a temporary data storage device.

Then, image processing techniques are again leveraged to isolate and quantify specific body postures contributing to a loop drive technique in a given segment.

Abstract: A system and method for using weather applied metrics for determining the impact of weather conditions on the flight of a ball at an outdoor sports venue. Historical and current data for weather parameters, including wind, air pressure, humidity, temperature, and precipitation, are obtained to calculate the influence of each parameter on the flight of a ball. The influences of each of the parameters are summed to model the flight of the ball based on the current weather conditions. Weather instruments, such as weather sensors, anemometers, LiDAR and SODAR devices, weather consoles, data routing devices, and processors can be included in a system for using weather applied metrics to predict the flight of a ball based on current weather conditions.

Abstract: A golf launching monitoring arrangement allows equipment to be placed at a position behind the player (i.e., behind the golf ball), to measure both club and ball movement. A 3D scan of the club head before the play serves two purposes: 1) 3D registration that enables accurate measurement of the club head position and orientation for the camera system measuring the club movement from the back; 2) for reconstruction of the launching scene. With a 3D model of the club head, a simple 3D model of the golf ball and accurate measurement of their movement during the play, a full 3D golf launching scene can be reconstructed authentically. With this reconstruction, the movement of both the club head and the resulting ball movement can be replayed at any viewing angle, with any frame rate and at whatever resolution for the players or the coaches to view and analyze.
