Abstract: A method for using visual indicia for teaching a student proper alignment and club selection for each of a plurality of different positions of a ball for a golf type game in which the ball is struck with a club toward a target. The method includes positioning sets of markers at different distances from the target wherein each distance is chosen to represent a particular type of stroke to be made with a club. Other markers are positioned on the putting green to represent a landing spot for a ball struck from a location off of the putting green. Thereafter, directional arrows are positioned along a preferential path for a ball to travel in order to reach the target. The student is aligned with the markers and arrows to create a visual reference to associate with the striking of the ball.

Abstract: Putting is a very important factor in golf playing. Above all, a putting distance feeling is the hardest to master, and many rounds in golf courses are said to be required for improving putting. Nevertheless, a putter mat is normally only 2- to 3-m long, and a carpet surface or the like that offers the same rolling as by golf greens is hardly available. Many smooth floor surfaces found in homes and firms cannot be used for putting practice due to excessive rolling of golf balls. It is an object of the present invention to eliminate these drawbacks. A ball implement for practicing golf putting is invented which includes a disc provided at the center thereof with a hole, and a main body having a cylindrical portion.

Abstract: A sporting good structure including a frame and a target board with resilient straps attached at four lateral edges and being led and joined to a bracket unit of the frame so as to locate the target board onto the frame. The target board has a transparent hook side corresponding with a fleeced stick side of a sporting device such as a ball. The transparent hook side is mutually combined with a patterned layer with diagrams visible through the transparent hook side to provide a perspective visual effect. An outer surface of the patterned layer is coated with a protective film. When the sporting device hits onto the target board thereof, the resilient straps will be elastically stretched according to the impact generated providing an anti-shock effect for the sporting device to grip onto the transparent hook side of the target board in a secure manner. The diagram disposed at the patterned layer of the target board can also have various sporting backgrounds.

Abstract: An educational golf facility is provided in accordance with the present invention. The facility includes a target chipping zone, at least one inclined chipping/putting lane and a putting zone. The chipping/putting facility includes an extended surface having a striking area in front of which a student may swing a golf club and strike a golf ball. The facility further includes an inclined surface extending from the striking area. The inclined surface has long strand oriented such that balls struck up the inclined surface are caught and returned to the student; The striking area which includes an enclosure protecting students in the vicinity of the striking area. The enclosure includes a forward horizontal bar and a rear horizontal bar, wherein the forward horizontal bar is positioned to control the permissible back swing of a student utilizing the chipping/putting facility and the rear horizontal bar provides a safety area.

Abstract: A golf game with a three dimensional target that utilizes hook and loop material. The game includes a club, a ball, a mat, and a three dimensional target. The ball and the three dimensional target have a hook and loop material (commonly referred to as Velcro®) affixed to them such that when the ball comes in contact with the three dimensional target, the ball will remain in position on the three dimensional target. The three dimensional target commonly is a cylinder with a hook material attached. A padded cushion can additionally be placed between the three dimensional target and the hook and loop material to buffer the contact between the ball and the three dimensional target. The ball has a material of a loop type surrounding it such that it will stay in position on the target as it contacts the target.

Abstract: A golf game is played with a standard golf club in and around a swimming pool having a surrounding deck. The game contains a floating green made of a sheet of floating foam having a cross-sectional area of at least about 10 square feet with an upper surface covered with a loop-type fabric upper surface. The game also contains a plurality of floating golf balls covered with a hook-type fabric. The game is played by hitting the floating golf balls with the golf club from the deck to the floating green in the pool.

Abstract: A new golf game for practicing one's golf shots. The inventive device includes a game target used in association with a golf club and a game ball. The game target has a playing surface with a plurality of scoring regions provided on the surface. A scoring point value is assigned to each of the scoring region. The game is generally played by each player having a set of turns, each player taking alternating turns hitting a game ball with a golf club from a distance from the playing surface to strike a scoring region on the playing surface. The scoring point value of the scoring region the game ball first strikes is recorded and at the end of the set, the recorded scoring points of are totaled for each player respectively. The winning player is the player with the highest scoring point value total.

Abstract: A golf game apparatus is used with a whiffle ball for a golf game enjoyable by both golfers and non-golfers. The golf game apparatus includes a movable tee with a generally rectangular structure. A target area is located several feet from the movable tee and has a plurality of targets representing golf holes. These targets include containers having varying diameters. The targets are positioned on different levels. A fairway structure extends from the target area towards the tee area. The player or players stroke the ball towards selected targets. The targets are assigned varying points, depending upon difficulty.

Abstract: A miniature golf game that utilizes hook and loop material commonly referred to as VELCRO to capture a ball rolled onto a green. The game includes a miniature green that has a simulated hole covered with VELCRO material. The VELCRO material can either be sewn into the green or attached to a disk that is placed onto the hole. The green may also have a sandtrap patch that has VELCRO material. A VELCRO covered ball is rolled onto the green with a golf club. The golf ball becomes attached to the simulated hole or patch when the ball is rolled into the simulated hole or patch areas. There is also disclosed a hook and loop baseball game that includes a miniature field which simulates a baseball diamond. The baseball game has a plurality of VELCRO covered disks located throughout the field. A player throws a VELCRO covered ball at the disks on the field. A disk is removed from the field when the ball strikes the disk. Each removed disk may represent a single, home run, out, etc.
