  • Patent number: 11325015
Abstract: A golf training device comprising a base platform and a golf-ball platform that are interconnected with a telescoping, extendable rail. The base platform provides an area on which a golfer assumes a stance when addressing a golf ball. The rail is constructed with a rigid but pliable material that twists and contorts when a golfer is standing on the base platform. Therefore, the golfer must remain completely balanced while addressing the ball and swinging the club to prevent the platform from wobbling uncontrollably. The base platform is mounted on a turntable that allows a golfer to rotate the base platform between a first orientation where balance must be maintained in a direction parallel to the shoulders and a second orientation where balance must be maintained in a direction perpendicular to the shoulders.

  • Patent number: 11311790
Abstract: A compression golf swing training apparatus includes a hitting board mounted atop a framework and configured to move downwardly at the point of impact from the golf club striking the hitting board during a golf swing. Specifically, the downward motion of the hitting board, when struck with a golf club, compresses the compression springs in their holder imitating or replicating the feeling a golfer experiences when taking a divot of golf course grass during a golf swing. The system is reconfigurable and interchangeable with distinct compression spring levels held in their individual spring holders replicating and/or imitating the resistance of the ground the golfer experiences playing on hard, soft, and wet golf course grass conditions.

Abstract: A multi-surface golf swing training mat is provided for use at practice ranges and the like. The mat includes four surfaces (e.g., quads or squares) that simulate surfaces actually found on a golf course: the drive or tee-box, the fairway, the sand, and the 3-inch rough. The multi-surface golf swing training mat enables practicing golfers to work not only on their swing, but also on hitting shots from surfaces similar to those on which they will be playing. In one aspect of the present disclosure, the golfer stands beside the multi-surface golf swing training mat to hit balls from the two nearest hitting squares, and stands on the mat to hit balls from the other two squares. In another aspect, the multi-surface golf swing training mat rotates to present each playing square or surface to a golfer from a single standing position.

The wall includes a plurality of openings along the base for the entry of an object there-through. Each opening includes an opening sensor to detect the presence of an object there-through. The wall further includes proximity sensors along the base to detect the presence of an object not passing though an opening. The sensors emit a signal which is detected by a processor connected to the wall. Each opening has a corresponding graphic element which displays a value interpreted by the processor. A user chooses a game on the input device, then propels an object toward the wall, a sensor emits a signal, the processor interprets the signal and the graphic element displays an assigned value.

  • Patent number: 7699715
Abstract: A portable golf practice device is disclosed that is easily transported by the golfer and simulates the response of natural turf when impacted by the club head during a golf swing. The device includes a simulated turf surface fitted in a carriage tray. The carriage tray is supported on a retraction assembly on which it can slide forward and back, and which has springs that will retract it after it has moved forward. The retraction assembly is supported on a base member. In use, when the turf surface is hit by a golf club it moves forward simulating the feel of actual turf, and then returns to its ready to use position.

Abstract: The present invention provides a golf practicing device having a platform with adjustable tilt on two independent axial creating a variety of inclination thus allowing a player to simulate variety of lies of the golf course in a driving range. In its first embodiment, the device comprising of a hitting surface 20 covered with artificial turf 21, mounted on a base 10 with a double-cross joint 30. On the hitting surfaces 20 are switches 70a 70b 70c 70d wired to a pair of linear actuators 50 51 affixed to a cable 80 running through a conjugated pulley cable guide 40 41 42 43 so that pressing the switches 70a 70b 70c 70d will cause one side of the hitting surface 20 to lower and the opposite side to lift up, causing the golf platform to tilt toward the direction of activated switch.

Abstract: An efficient, low cost and versatile golf practice device, which stimulates the angular stances frequently found during play on a course. The practicing golfer stands on top of a turf practice platform. This platform sits flat on top a region comprising a plane. The plane cuts off a slice of the area of a sphere. The plane faces north towards the sky while the opposite side is comprised of a curved arc portion that faces south, towards the earth. The spherical slice, (containing the flat platform), fits as a male portion into and on top of a female inverted dome region. The female spherical slice itself encompasses a space less than a full hemisphere. The female spherical slice is set inside the top surface of a rectangular box of length and width proportions roughly similar to an average driving range mat. The golfer stands on the platform and is capable of simulating a plurality of hitting conditions using the simple process of manual adjustment.

Abstract: A swing plane indicating golf mat capable of indicating the path of a swing through the critical zone. The golf mat includes an array of toggling, grass-mimicking blades which, from the vantage point of the golfer, assume a different appearance when toggled over. In the preferred embodiment, the blades have a forward face and a rearward face. The forward face and rearward face are different colors. Because of the curvature of the blades, the blades normally appear one color when the blades are in their normal and non-toggled position. When the blades are toggled, the blades appear a different color.

The divot simulator insert has a base; a tray rests on top of the base with a simulated turf surface fitted therein. A cover is provided to conceal the interior and strengthen the base. When a ball placed on the simulated turf surface is struck by a golf club, the force imparted to the device sends the tray together with the simulated turf surface sliding forward, thus simulating the feel of hitting off natural turf and taking a divot. Means comprising compression springs fitted over guide rails are provided to control the sliding forward and retraction to their original position of the tray and the simulated turf surface.
