Plural Members Common To Plural Grooves Patents (Class 474/34)
  • Patent number: 11618317
Abstract: A transmission includes at least one primary transmission unit. The at least one primary transmission unit includes an input shaft having a first rotation axis, an output shaft having a second rotation axis, and a first layshaft having a third rotation axis. The input shaft, the output shaft, and the first layshaft are parallel. The first rotation axis lies in a first plane, the second rotation axis lies in a second plane, and the third rotation axis lies in a third plane. The first, the second, and the third planes are parallel. The first, the second and the third planes are orthogonal to a transmission central plane. The first rotation axis is disposed in the transmission central plane. The second plane is between the first and the third planes.

  • Patent number: 7361108
Abstract: A continuously variable transmission with two conical disk pairs on the input side and two conical disk pairs on the output-side that are connected with each another by two parallel endless torque-transmitting members in a drive mechanism. In one form of the transmission an asymmetrical cone angle on the conical disks enables the installation space to be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6659894
Abstract: A fan drive arrangement and method is provided for facilitating the cooling of engine coolant flowing through a radiator and an engine. The fan drive arrangement includes a variable pitch sheave assembly which moves between a first high speed position and a second low speed position. Variable pitch sheave assembly is interconnected by first and second drive belts to first and second drive pulleys operatively connected to the crankshaft of the engine and by first and second fan belts to corresponding fan pulleys connected to a fan shaft of a fan. Variable pitch sheave assembly includes first and second drive belt receiving grooves for receiving corresponding drive belts therein and first and second fan belt grooves for receiving corresponding fan belts therein. The depths of the fan belt grooves and the drive belt grooves of the variable pitch sheave assembly are varied in response to the temperature of the engine coolant flowing through the radiator so as to vary the fan speed accordingly.

  • Patent number: 4725258
Abstract: A multiple groove, variable pitch pulley comprises an annular hub threaded about its exterior surface. A stationary end flange is mounted at one end of the hub and a movable end flange is threaded onto the other end of the hub. One or more center flanges are threaded into the hub and lie between the stationary end flange and the movable end flange. The center flanges comprise a disk section and a collar section of lesser diameter than the disk section. The disk section of each center flange and the movable end flange each comprises an axial counterbore for receiving the collar section of an adjacent center flange.

  • Patent number: 4260924
Abstract: A high efficiency conductor bar is provided for use in a high flux density environment. The bar is made up of a number of subconductors, each of which consists of strands of small size, insulated copper wire wound into twisted bundles and cables so as to be completely transposed. The subconductors and a tube for coolant fluid are then assembled into a conventionally transposed conductor bar.
