Friction Clutch Patents (Class 475/321)
  • Patent number: 11859324
Abstract: A driving clutch device for a sewing machine includes a drive shaft, a passive member, a clutch seat, an actuating seat, a power unit, and a clutch member. Through fixing the passive member and the clutch seat onto the drive shaft, rotatably disposing the actuating seat, the drive shaft, and returnably disposing the clutch member to the clutch seat, the clutch seat and the actuating seat are able to move synchronously when the clutch member is in the engaged position, but not to move synchronously when the clutch member in the disengaged position, thereby achieving the driving and clutch controls only by the clutch member, the passive member, the clutch seat and the actuating seat. Therefore, the driving clutch device is simpler and the driving is more direct and instant, thereby reducing assembly costs and the error of action coordination.

  • Patent number: 9014933
Abstract: An electric tool has a housing, a motor disposed in the housing, an output shaft, a first planetary gear transmission mechanism, having a power input member, disposed between the motor and the output shaft, and a locking mechanism, having a power output member. The locking mechanism has a locked state and an unlocked state. When torsion is transmitted from the motor to the output shaft, the locking mechanism is in the unlocked state, and the output shaft is driven by the motor to rotate to perform electric operation. When the output shaft reversely receives a force, the locking mechanism is in the locked state, and the power input member of the first planetary gear transmission member is locked to perform manual operation.

  • Patent number: 7566287
Abstract: A clutch device for an automatic transmission, including a clutch drum supporting frictional coupling elements, a clutch piston disposed radially outwardly of the clutch drum, and a rotary speed sensor disposed radially outwardly of the clutch piston to detect a rotating speed of the clutch piston. The clutch piston has an inner spline for engagement with an outer spline of the clutch drum to prevent relative rotation between the clutch piston and the clutch drum, and further has a plurality of recesses formed in an outer circumferential surface thereof and corresponding to respective teeth of the inner spline, and a plurality of oil holes formed therethrough at an axial position of the clutch device at which the rotary speed sensor is located. The recesses and the oil holes are equally spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction of the clutch piston.

  • Patent number: 7357752
Abstract: A power train assembly is driveably engaged with an input source and includes a transmission module having a casing and a drive member. The transmission module is driveably connected to the input source and a creeper module is driveably engaged with the drive member of the transmission module. The creeper module is detachably mounted to the casing of the transmission module. An output assembly is in driving engagement with the creeper module and a control interface is configured to selectively engage the creeper module to transform the speed of the drive member to a reduced speed of the output member.

  • Patent number: 6949042
Abstract: A shiftable transmission in which at least two clutches (2, 7) actuated in closing direction by spring force and in opening direction by the exertion of pressure are arranged, wherein output of the transmission is stopped by unpressurized shifting of both actuation devices (9, 13) thereby closing both clutches (2, 7). When pressure is exerted upon the second actuation device (13), the actuation force of the first actuation device (9) is composed of a spring force of the first actuation device (9) and a hydraulic force from the pressurization of the second actuation device (13). The clutch belonging to the first actuation device can thus be impinged upon with different forces depending on whether or not the second actuation device is impinged upon with pressure.

  • Patent number: 6824494
Abstract: Friction disks of a clutch are axially positioned and supported relative to the drum of the clutch, using a tapered snap ring. Furthermore, an engaging member coupled with a ring gear is axially positioned and supported by sandwiching between the tapered snap ring and another snap ring. Accordingly, the structure accommodates and supports receipt of hydraulic pressure, as well as thrust force of the ring gear.

  • Patent number: 6428442
Abstract: The device according to the invention offers the advantage that by means of at least two drive positions and a neutral position of a planetary gear as a drive transmission for an electric machine, this electric machine can be used both as a starter for starting the internal combustion engine and as a generator for supplying power to an electrical system of the motor vehicle. The disposition of the electric machine connected in series with the planetary gear, for example in the drivetrain of the motor vehicle between a coupling and a manually shifted transmission preferably on a transmission input shaft, in particular has the advantage that the electric machine can remain in constant engagement without expensive devices for meshing and demeshing a conventional starter, and a control of the planetary gear based on fixed parameters can be carried out simply by means of the motor control.

  • Patent number: 6099433
Abstract: A driving unit (1), comprising: a motor (10), a driven shaft (2) driven by the motor, and a transmission device (20) coupled between the motor and the output shaft and having one input shaft (21) and two rotational output members (22) and (23), wherein the ratio of transmission from the input shaft (21) to the first rotational output member (22) differs from the ratio of transmission from the input shaft (21) to the second rotational output member (23). The first rotational output member (22) is coupled to the motor housing (11) via a slip coupling (30). A helical spring (60) arranged so as to be coaxial to the motor presses the first rotational output member (23) against the motor housing (11), wherein that helical spring (60) engages the motor housing (11) via a pressure ring (50). This pressure ring (50) has a helical channel (52) for receiving the helical spring (60). The pressure ring (50) is rotatable to enable setting the maximum value of the moment that can be supplied to the output shaft (2).

  • Patent number: 5397282
Abstract: A final drive for a multi-speed power transmission has freewheeler timed up and down forward power shifts utilizing two planetary gear sets connected between the transmission and differential. For low ratio a smaller diameter sun gear of a first gear set is driven through a freewheeler with the associated ring gear held for reaction so that the pinion carrier assembly drives the differential at a low ratio. For high ratio, a larger diameter sun gear of a second gear set is directly driven while a high-reverse clutch holds the associated ring gear for reaction. The pinion carrier assembly common to both gear sets drives the differential at a higher speed ratio as the freewheeler overruns on torque reversal. The ring gear of the second gear set of one embodiment has a path to ground through an additional freewheeler for coast control. The outer race of the low-ratio freewheeler has external teeth to park-lock the associated sun gear through a grounded parking pawl.
