Abstract: A waist exercising device has a waist cushion, a weight roundel and a centrifugal weight assembly. The weight roundel is mounted rotatably on the waist cushion and has a cavity defined in the weight roundel and a pivot shaft formed in the cavity. The centrifugal weight assembly is mounted in the cavity and has an arm and a weight. The arm is connected pivotally to the pivot shaft. The weight is connected to the arm and generates centrifugal force and has at least one detachable weight element. A beginner may use less weight elements and a skilled user more for tailored difficulty exercise.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for aligning a person's center of gravity over the base of support using a weighted garment or orthotic are herein provided. These methods and apparatuses are particularly suited to individuals suffering from various balance or neurological disorders. The methods described herein involve the use of body positioning and perturbation techniques. These methods may be manual, computer assisted, or some combination thereof. In some variations, video recording equipment or other electronic equipment is used. The apparatuses of the present invention comprise a variety of weighted garments or orthotics. These garments or orthotics may take on any number of configurations. In some variations, the weighted garment or orthotic is a vest, in other variations, the weighted garment or orthotic is a brassiere, corset, shoulder pad, undergarment, belt, seating device to be used in combination with a wheelchair, tee shirt, body suit, or combinations thereof.

Abstract: An improved weighted training belt for hockey players consisting of an elongated belt having a length, opposite first and second ends, and complimentary first and second coupling members provided on the first and second ends of the belt, respectively. The belt also includes at least one pair of connector elements positioned between the first and second coupling members, said pair of connector elements being movable along the length of the belt and selectively fixable at any point along the length of the belt. The training belt further includes at least one weight pouch having opposite side straps with a connector element provided on an end of each of the side straps, the connector elements of the weight pouch being complimentary to the pair of connector elements on the belt, the weight pouch configured to support at least one weight, the opposite side straps of the weight pouch each having an adjustable length.

Abstract: This patent discloses an exercise device to strengthen and rehabilitate an arm. The exercise device may include a splint, a container, and a ball. The container may include a container shell having a container shell interior surface surrounding a container shell void. The container shell interior surface may form a spherical surface having a container shell interior center. The ball may be positioned within the container shell void and include a ball center where, when the exercise device is moved by the arm, both the container and the ball rotate together with the ball center additionally moving around a circumference that follows a circumference of the container shell interior surface. The container may be attached to the splint so that the container shell interior center may be positioned outside of a hand grab radius of a hand of the arm when the exercise device is attached to the arm.

Abstract: Provided herein are new exercise clothing and accessories. For example, a weight apparatus incorporates an elongate closed tube suitable for wrapping around a user's arm (e.g., wrist), leg (e.g., ankle), neck, or other extremity, and further includes attachment means for securing the weight around the extremity. In another embodiment, exercise clothing include garments that create resistance against the movement of an extremity, such as resistance against regular, everyday motions incurred in selected activities of humans or animals. An exercise garment may include desirable performance features, such as slimming of a body part through compression or tension, which may be selected based, in part, on anatomical fit.

Abstract: A weight lifting system wherein shoes of substantially normal fit and construction have additional parts that are designed to attach to and detach from corresponding hardware on weights and weight holding devices, and the additional parts on the shoes will not interfere with walking or other exercises or with the normal function of the shoe. Structural support for the added parts is embedded in the sole of the shoe where it will be unnoticeable by the user. The hardware works quickly and easily and a plurality of different weights is preferred with the net result being that the user can quickly and easily pick up and put down weights with their feet, change the amount of weight, and change weights from foot to foot and, hence, can easily move from one exercise to another, and there is no need to remove the shoes when performing other exercises.

Abstract: An exercising set and a method for enabling a user to exercise his/her pelvic floor muscles. The exercising set may include: at least one body member; an elongated member; at least one weight; and at least one fastening means. The elongated member may extend from the lower part of the body member. The body member may be inserted into the user's body cavity, where a lower part of the elongated member emerges outside the cavity. The fastening means may be connected to the weight, where the fastening means allows fastening of the weight to the emerging lower part of the elongated member, thereby enabling changing weights for the exercise without having to remove and re-insert the body member for each weight exercised. Methods of using the exercising set are disclosed.

Abstract: The resistance exercise trainer includes an adjustable strap wearable by a user, a leash attached to the strap at a first end and a bag attached to a second end of the leash and configured for removable reception of at least one weight. When wearing the strap and pulling the bag and the weight with the leash, the weighted bag impedes user movement thereby providing resistance exercise training. As part of the resistance exercise training, the leash may be disconnected from the strap and used individually as a jump rope and the weight may be removed from the bag and used individually in strength training exercises. Together, the strap, the leash, the bag and the weight may be used in a speed training triangle.

The lower arms have handles for grasping by a user and weight pegs. The upper right arm and the upper left arm each further have a rail connected to the arm and running substantially parallel to it. A sleeve slideably engages the rail and supports a shoulder harness for a user and also weight pegs. The user grasps the handles connected to the lower arms and lifts upward, whereby his shoulders contact the resistance of the upper arms through the shoulder harness.

Abstract: A novel apparatus and method is disclosed for securing clothing or an object of weight against a body with one or more double locking securing wraps as well as overlapping double lock securing wraps. One lock is created between the edge of the object and the inside of the securing wrap while the other lock is created between the end of the wrap and the outside of the object or the outside of a securing wrap. Hook and loop fasteners are used to create the edge locks which prevent the object from sliding out from under the securing wrap. Weighted ankles, wrists, pants and vest system are also disclosed which incorporate the double locking system. The system allows for a wide range of size adjustability including the ability to add tension between the locks for additional security.

The composition is mixed and tailored to various designs for different exercise equipment, different parts and different portion of the exercise equipment. The internal body in the weight trainer, due to being mixed with the solid powder, has an extremely high density ranging from 0.5 g/cm.sup.3 to 6 g/cm.sup.3, preferably ranging from 4 g/cm.sup.3 to 6 g/cm.sup.3, so the weight trainer can have a high weight, even if fitted into the internal body with small volume.

Abstract: A variable resistance aquatic exercise apparatus which provides a platform for removable fit to each of a user's hands and arms is disclosed. Each platform provides a plurality of one-way valves of two sizes. Each platform further provides a dialable disc which varies with orifice size, from a larger orifice to smaller orifices, or a user may choose to close orifices, thereby providing varied resistance to movement through water. Multiple embodiments of the platform are provided.

The weight exercise device is an elongated J-shaped device having a support member with an elongated belt passage at the top thereof. An elongated channel being the lower section of the J-shaped device is attached to the bottom of the support member for holding the dumbbell. The dumbbell retention means is either an integral part of the J-shaped device or is an separate device for removable placed thereon. The J-shaped device includes the means for attaching said support member to the user; a support member; the means for supporting a dumbbell, said dumbbell supporting means being attached to said support member; and the means for insuring the retention of said dumbbell in said dumbbell supporting means while being used by the user.
