The exercise apparatus particularly, but not exclusively, uses a combination of weight, a structure adapted for weight training by a person, and a means to suspend the weight wherein the suspended weight is adapted to have motion in the x, y and z axis during an exercise movement that results in increased joint strength and decreased joint pain during and after physical therapy and rehabilitation exercises.

Abstract: An exercise device in the form of a yoga bag having two ends that hang down over the sides of the chest of a user and provide resistance to the lung cavities during while breathing exercises are performed is set forth. Each end of the bag is provided with compartments for selectively receiving flowable weighted substances. The center of the bag is contoured to fit around the neck.

Abstract: The Combined Exercise Strap of the invention is a strap that reduces the amount of objects a user needs to carry while exercising. The strap has at least one pouch or a plurality of pouches. The pouch can hold objects including a pedometer, weight, watch, pulse monitor, cell phone, music player, or money.

Abstract: A weighted vest is provided for such exercise as squatting, have front and back portions and a panel member attached to the back portion of the vest, the panel member having one or more rows of roller-receiving cavities and a roller in each cavity for added weight. By placing the panel member between the back of a wall and an exerciser standing upright and pressing against the wall, the exerciser moves up and down during squat exercise to achieve maximum benefit from the exercise.

Abstract: A Halo Posture head weight is comprised of two consecutive rings. A lower ring is hollow and conformal while also being shape-sustaining to fit comfortably around the skull at approximately the level of the forehead. An upper ring has metal shot in the forward half to apply weight load at the frontal section of the head. Both rings have adjustable closures at the back of the head for a comfortable, adjustable, and secure fit. Additional pads are provided for coupling extra weight, to permit correction of tilt or adjustment of weight loading. In a preferred embodiment, the rings are fabricated from a single strip of double-backed neoprene that is formed using two longitudinally extensive stitch lines, and an additional resilient fabric bag is provided for securing the metal shot in the upper ring.

A plurality of pliable easily conformed weight packets are secured within the vest interior by fabric attachment pads together with a combination of elastic bands and belts. The vest provides weight distribution particularly suited to activities of substantial acceleration such as sprint starting, American football or the like. A porous liner and mesh outer layer over certain areas of the vest allow heat to be vented from the vest interior. A pair of variable spring rate expansion joints are coupled between the front panels and the back panel passing over the shoulder, neck and collar bone region of the athlete's body to provide reduction of localized stress upon the athlete.

The device may be constructed of rigid or flexible materials or a combination of rigid and flexible materials. The device may also comprise means to minimize swinging motion. An operator, having an active leg and foot, inserts an active foot within the space between parallel structures, engages the foot support means with an active foot to perform lower body muscle exercises, for example, the quadruped hip extension exercise for the benefit of the gluteus muscle group, leg extensions for the benefit of the vastus medialis muscle or leg contractions for the benefit of the posterior thigh muscle group.

Abstract: A squat exercise apparatus for use with a hip belt comprising an elevated platform with a hole, a weight holder and a guide rod or other guide, as disclosed herein. The weight holder may be designed to hold free weights and to attach onto a hip belt. As the user performs the squat exercise supported by the platform, the guide rod guides the weight holder as it is lowered into the hole, limiting movement of the weight holder in the horizontal direction. Alternatively, the apparatus comprises a weight holder and a guide rod and base, for use with a user-supplied platform.

Abstract: An exercise garment is formed of a pair of shorts and an accompanying vest which are worn by an exerciser to enhance strength, conditioning, power, endurance and agility. The shorts include a pelvic portion with a pair of leg sections depending therefrom. Each leg section terminates at a leg opening having a circumferential zipper strand adjacent thereto. Immediately above the zipper strand are a plurality of juxtaposed, segregated pockets for receiving a weighted bar. A leg extension having multiple weight pockets includes a peripheral zipper strand at an upper end for mating engagement with the zipper strand of either leg section allowing the effective length thereof to be increased. The accompanying vest is formed of a torso portion with a pair of separable sleeves extending therefrom. A plurality of weight pockets are positioned on the front and rear of the torso portion and each sleeve. A torso extension having multiple weight pockets is removably attachable to the lower edge of the torso portion.

For example, a weight apparatus incorporates an elongate closed tube suitable for wrapping around a user's arm (e.g., wrist), leg (e.g., ankle), neck, or other extremity, and further includes attachment means for securing the weight around the extremity. In another embodiment, exercise clothing include garments that create resistance against the movement of an extremity, such as resistance against regular, everyday motions incurred in selected activities of humans or animals. An exercise garment may include desirable performance features, such as slimming of a body part through compression or tension, which may be selected based, in part, on anatomical fit.

The body portion pivots between a collapsed orientation with the slit at a reduced spacing and an expanded orientation with the slit at an enlarged spacing. An operational zone has a plurality of operational components. Application of a radial force to the second section by a user's external anal sphincter muscle causes axial movement of the segments to both contract and retain expanded segments and expand and retain contracted segments to reorient the system between a collapsed orientation and an expanded orientation.

Abstract: The resistance exercise trainer includes an adjustable strap wearable by a user, a leash attached to the strap at a first end and a bag attached to a second end of the leash and configured for removable reception of at least one weight. When wearing the strap and pulling the bag and the weight with the leash, the weighted bag impedes user movement thereby providing resistance exercise training. As part of the resistance exercise training, the leash may be disconnected from the strap and used individually as a jump rope and the weight may be removed from the bag and used individually in strength training exercises. Together, the strap, the leash, the bag and the weight may be used in a speed training triangle.

Abstract: A weight lifting system consisting of thin light-weight sandals to be strapped to a person's shod feet, the sandals having additional parts that are designed to attach to and detach from corresponding hardware on weights and weight holding devices. The sandals are designed and built so they will not interfere with walking or other exercises. The hardware works quickly and easily and a plurality of different weights is preferred with the net result being that the user can quickly and easily pick up and put down weights with their feet, change the amount of weight, and change weights from foot to foot and, hence, can easily move from one exercise to another, and there is no need to remove the sandals when performing other exercises.

Each pocket includes a closure means extending substantially therealong for retaining one or more weighted tubes. An inside surface of the flexible strap may include a cushioning pad, made of a memory-foam type material, for example, extending substantially around the length and height of the flexible strap.

The dumbbells include a dumbbell connector portion positioned axially on a weight of the dumbbell, and the barbell includes a barbell connector portion on the axial ends of the barbell. The dumbbell connector portion engages the barbell connector portion to connect the dumbbell to the barbell. The dumbbell connector portion can be received in a recess of the weight. The user selects two dumbbells of a desired weight and connects the barbell with the dumbbells. The device is then utilized for exercise.

Abstract: The shoe accessory includes a platform for supporting a conventional shoe that is bendable in a manner corresponding to bending of a wearer's show during walking, etc. The shoe accessory's base has a convex or other non-planar surface that causes the shoe accessory to be stable in a longitudinal (heel-toe) direction, and unstable in a lateral (medial/lateral) direction. The non-planar surface may be defined by one or more ridge segments on the platform's bottom side. One or more straps are provided to temporarily secure the wearer's conventional shoe to the platform in a non-destructive manner. Abstract: The present disclosure pertains generally to exercise clothing, and more specifically, to weighted exercise pants. A weighted exercise pants system is disclosed employing weighted leg panels joined by a stretch fabric central expansion section. The weight pocket systems employ a plurality of weight sleeves capable of removably receiving one or more weights. The weighted exercise pants of the present disclosure can be used for strengthening muscles in a manner specific to the way the muscles are used in a particular sport, for other types of exercise, or for strength development, speed training, over-speed training and plyometric training.

Abstract: An exercise weight primarily for horses, to increase the horse's energy expenditure level during exercise. A slurry of polymerized plastic material is mixed with powdered metal, e.g. lead, producing a paste which is extruded in thin sheets, dried and cut to size. A selected number of such sheets are parallel stacked within a cover and can slide over each other to an extent limited by stitches or other fasteners holding the layers to the cover. The Young's Modulus of Elasticity (YME) of the resultant exercise weight is extremely low (typically less than about 2.5). The exercise weight can have various forms, such as the shape of a saddle to lie on the horse's body. When the horse gallops and its anatomical shape dynamically changes, the low YME permits the exercise weight on the horse to deform to adapt to the shape changes in the horse without generating large resistive forces or counterforces pushing against the horse.

Abstract: An improved weighted training belt for hockey players consisting of an elongated belt having a length, opposite first and second ends, and complimentary first and second coupling members provided on the first and second ends of the belt, respectively. The belt also includes at least one pair of connector elements positioned between the first and second coupling members, said pair of connector elements being movable along the length of the belt and selectively fixable at any point along the length of the belt. The training belt further includes at least one weight pouch having opposite side straps with a connector element provided on an end of each of the side straps, the connector elements of the weight pouch being complimentary to the pair of connector elements on the belt, the weight pouch configured to support at least one weight, the opposite side straps of the weight pouch each having an adjustable length.

Abstract: An adjustable weight-loaded dip-chin machine. Dip bars and chin bars with means for vertical adjustment are mounted on columns, which in turn are mounted on a base. An arm is pivotally attached to the base, and weights can be added to an arm spindle attached to the arm. A belt is attached to the arm, and weights added to the arm spindle resist upward motion of an exerciser performing dips or chins. Elastic bands may be added connecting the arm to the base, and/or the belt to the base, which serve to render the exercise more strenuous. Dip bars incorporate a plurality of dip bar legs, each a differing distance from the other dip bar. Chin bars incorporate a downwardly-sloping dogleg. An alternate embodiment adjustable dip-chin machine incorporates a weight stack which can be attached to the belt. Stack weights selected from the weight stack render exercise more strenuous.

Corresponding engagement and complemental engagement elements are carried by the elongate strap. The elongate strap is movable between a first position extending away from the wrist portion and a second position wrapped about the wrist portion engaging the engagement element to the complemental engagement element securing the elongate strap in the second position.
