Abstract: A dexterity testing apparatus includes a housing and a sensor. The housing is configured to be manipulated with digits of one hand of a user. The sensor is supported by the housing and configured to generate user dexterity data based upon changes in acceleration and orientation of the housing as the housing moves relative to the digits of the one hand of the user. The sensor is configured to convert the user dexterity data into an output signal indicative of the user's dexterity.

Abstract: Provided is a technique for attaching an artificial tendon to a support device having a supporting material as well as a product formed by the technique. The artificial tendon is provided for flexing or extending a joint of a body, when applied at the joint of the body, by way of pulling the artificial tendon along its lengthwise direction. The artificial tendon is attached to the support device by stitching across the tendon with a thread on the supporting material of the support device, which forms a tunnel for the artificial tendon between the supporting material and the stitching. The artificial tendon is able to travel in the tunnel. The tunnel formed by this technique is positioned on the surface of the supporting material of the support device.

Abstract: A forearm exercise grip device that implements a frame with a gripping portion, bearings, and a band is used to exercise at least a user's forearm muscles. A connecting portion extends from opposing ends of the gripping portion and includes an arcuate bend that extends to bearings on each side of the connecting portion. An elastic band with a loop wraps around each respective bearing. A user places the gripping portion of the frame in his hand, and then extends his fingers to, depending on size of hand and strength, one or both of a proximal or distal section of the band. The user squeezes the band directionally toward the gripping portion, which thereby exercises the user's forearm and hand muscles.

Abstract: The present invention is an exercise ring accessory device that quickly inserts onto a set of exercise rings for ring strength training as used in gymnastics, cross-fit, and other strength programs that utilize exercise rings. Abstract: A hand held supple exerciser is configured with a truncated prolate spheroid body having a transverse radial flange projecting from a closed end and a cylindrical cavity at the other end. Intermediate the ends is a gently curved face. The curved face is dimensioned to be cupped in one's palm for performing underhand or grasped in an overhand orientation for forearm and other exercise routines. The exerciser is molded of a pliable elastic material, such as natural or synthetic rubber, elastomers or blends thereof such that a variety of tension and compression exercise routines may be performed at the cylindrical cavity end while the radial flange at the closed end transitions to an annular channel which functions as a finger grip surface. An internal metal weight is positioned to provide an appropriate center of mass as well as for fixing the total weight of the exerciser.

Abstract: The resistance band system of the disclosure includes one or more resistance bands, and a pair of handles which secure the ends of the one or more resistance bands. Each handle locks onto one of the ends of each resistance band. The handle is adapted to grip the resistance band with greater force when force is applied to the resistance band, such as when it is in use. The handle unlocks to release the ends of one or more of the resistance bands from the handles for changing of one or more of the resistance bands.
Abstract: A hand exerciser that is structured and arranged to strength the various muscle groups of the user's hand and to improve dexterity of the user's fingers and thumb. The hand exerciser comprises a flexible frame formed into an arc-shaped configuration having an outer surface and an inner surface. On the outer surface of the frame is a first platform at one end and a second platform at the opposite end. A resistance member, such as compressible foam, a bag or the like, is removably positioned against the inner surface inside the arc-shaped frame between the two platforms such that when the user presses the platforms between the fingers and thumb, the resistance member resists compression to exercise the hand. Abstract: The present invention provides method and apparatus to perform combined cognitive and motor rehabilitation on a computerized non-portable system or on single portable device. A patient can play a variety of games that require the patient to perform a variety of memory exercises which involve physical exertion. The activities of the patient are monitored with pattern analysis software which provides feedback to the patient. The feedback can include voice synthesis, video guidance, progression messages etc. Patient data obtained while the patient is performing each of the memory exercises is stored locally on a database module and then uploaded to a cloud server. A remote psychologist/psychiatrist monitors the patient by logging into the same cloud, and updating cognition exercises. The same therapist can have live chats with the patient for further interaction and coaching.

Abstract: The invention concerns an exercise apparatus including a movable implement, the implement consisting of a number of movable parts that are mutually connected with at least one further movable part, where the apparatus is a mobile unit, and where the apparatus further includes a base. The new feature of the apparatus according to the invention is that an implement in the form of at least one set of discs consisting of at least a first and a second movable disc is connected to the base, where the first movable disc in a set of discs is rotatably connected to the base via a first rotary connection, and where the second movable disc in the set of discs is rotatably connected to the first disc. The apparatus may furthermore include more than two movable discs, for example three, four, five or more discs. By joining the individual movable parts in this way, free movement of the individual discs is achieved in this way, the individual discs obviously being dependent on the movements and actions of the other discs.
Abstract: An apparatus combines a beverage holder (e.g., a mug) with a compressible device (i.e., a gripper or handgrip) that is usable as an exercise apparatus for a users hands, wrists or forearms. A length of aircraft cable having a first cable end extends through the opening and is crimped in position onto the grip member with a cable nut. A connector is provided on an opposite cable end. When a user grasps the hemispherical surface of the grip member, the first cable end is located inside the grasp of the user and the cable and tubing passes between two fingers of the user.
Abstract: An exercise assembly includes an exercise handle with a grip base suitable for resting on a floor, and a grip elevated above the grip base. A user can situate the grip bases of a pair of the exercise handles on the floor, grasp their grips, and then perform push-ups. The grip bases can also be mounted to the top of a door or to other overhead structure, and the user can then grasp their grips to perform chin-ups. Preferably, this is done by providing a cradle which mounts to the door or other overhead structure, wherein the exercise handles may be firmly (but removably) nested into the cradles to mount them to the structure. The exercise handles may also bear passages or attachments for receiving elastic (or inelastic) cables for use in performing further exercises.
