  • Patent number: 10561897
Abstract: A Body Lift Exercise Apparatus is provided which has a base frame member with a seat support member coupled thereon which moves upward and downward directions. The apparatus also has a user engagement member which pivotally mounts to the front of the base frame member. The back portion of the user engagement member is coupled to the seat support member. The user engages the front portion of the user engagement with their thighs and pivots this front portion in the downward direction, which produces upward movement in the back portion and thus in the seat support member. The opposite movement is also true. This allows the user to perform exercise routines on the lower body muscle areas while in a relatively seated position. Handle members and a back support member may also be a part of the apparatus.

The exercise machine includes a linkage assembly that allows the moving user support to tilt as the user performs the triceps press exercise. As the user extends his or her arms from an exercise starting position to an exercise ending position, a user support frame—and thus the user's torso—reclines progressively backwards. The user's natural reaction to this reclining sensation is to bring his or her head forward, which encourages the user to plant his or her lower back firmly into a stable position against a back pad and in turn reduces the risk of injury associated with excessively arching of the lower back.

  • Patent number: 9604099
Abstract: An elliptical exercise machine includes a first foot pedal and a second foot pedal attached to a frame to travel along reciprocating paths. A resistance mechanism is also integrated into the elliptical exercise machine to resist movement of the first and second foot pedals along the reciprocating paths. A locking mechanism is arranged to secure the first and second foot pedals in place and prevent them from moving when the locking mechanism is in a secured mode. The locking mechanism is in communication with a locking input mechanism and is arranged to switch between the secured mode and an operational mode that allows the first and second foot pedals to travel in response to user input received through the locking input mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9586090
Abstract: In an exercise system having a remote communication system adapted to communicate with an exercise device, a method for generating an exercise program includes receiving route information identifying a route traveled by an individual during a real world exercise session, receiving audio information identifying a musical selection listened to by the individual during the real world exercise session, using the route information and the audio information to generate an exercise program. The exercise program includes control signals that cause an exercise device to substantially simulate the topographical characteristics of the route traveled by the individual during the real world exercise session, and audio signals representative of the musical selection listened to by the individual during the real world exercise session so that the musical selection is presented during a performance of the exercise program.

  • Patent number: 9561147
Abstract: Methods and systems for lift monitoring are described. In one embodiment, a first operation signal may be received from a first relay coupled to an electro-mechanical patient lift when the electro-mechanical patient lift is being operated in a first position. A second operation signal may be received from a second relay coupled to the electro-mechanical patient lift when the electro-mechanical patient lift is being operated in a second position. A determination of whether a lift qualification threshold is met may be based on the receiving of the first operation signal and the second operation signal. An occurrence of a lift may be recorded when a determination is made that the lift qualification threshold is met. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.

Abstract: An optimal bicycle frame size and configuration is determined based on operational characteristics provided by a rider when riding an adjustable stationary bicycle. An optimal motorcycle and motorcycle configuration is determined based on characteristics of the rider when riding an adjustable stationary motorcycle. A camera system can be used to collect anthropomorphic data about the rider to establish an initial positioning of the components of the adjustable vehicle. The camera system can also be used to collect real-time information about the rider's body positioning so as to cause adjustment of the positioning of the components of the adjustable vehicle.
