    Abstract: The present invention is an improved speed bag apparatus having a post 15 connected at its lower end 16 to a speed bag platform 50 by a vibration dampener 40. The vibration dampener rigidizes the connection between the post and the platform. The invention also includes a post collar 20 to guide and capture the post therein. The post is attached to a mounting apparatus which includes support members 31, 32, and 33 and a wall plate 30. The post collar also includes a pivoting clamp arm 60 which may be actuated by a turnable shaft 70 to grip the post as desired.

    Abstract: A door mounted support apparatus for a punching bag having two main components: (1) a main support bracket; and (2) a punching bag support bracket. The main support bracket includes a first horizontal bar and a second opposite side horizontal bar. The first and second horizontal bars are connected via two parallel curved arms. The main support bracket is mounted to a door frame by extending the first horizontal bar in front of the side door jambs and hooking the second horizontal bar behind the top door jamb. Adjustable clamps on the curved arms and on the first horizontal bar are used to tighten and secure the main support bracket to the door frame. The punching bag support bracket is then inserted into slots on the first horizontal bar and locked into position with locking pins. A punching bag is suspended from the punching bag support bracket.

The machine replicates the full and natural trajectory of the striking motion and provides resistance throughout extension and contraction of the striking motion. In this manner, the machine trains all muscles involved in a particular strike.
