  • Patent number: 11939807
Abstract: A vertical pivoting gate operator for positioning a gate between an open position and a closed position is provided. The gate operator includes a motor drive assembly including a motor and a linkage assembly mechanically connecting a motor output to the gate such that in response to actuation of the motor, the linkage assembly transmits an opening force to positioning the gate toward the open position, and a closing force, for positioning the gate toward the closed position. A counterbalance assembly including a biasing member is operable to release stored energy against an input link to rotate a gate arm shaft so as to urge the gate toward the open position and to increase stored energy in response to rotation of the gate traveling toward the closed position to act against the gate as it approaches the closed position.

  • Patent number: 11905701
Abstract: A method and apparatus according to which a blast resistant shelter is assembled. The blast resistant shelter includes first and second structural members, a third structural member coupled to the first and second structural members, a first airway adjacent the third structural member, and a first blast panel pivotably mounted to the third structural member and adapted to pivot thereabout in response to a blast wave. In a first configuration, the first blast panel is detachably connected to a first portion of the blast resistant shelter and prevented from pivoting about the third structural member so that the first blast panel obstructs air flow through the first airway. In a second configuration, in response to the blast wave, the first blast panel is detached from the first portion of the blast resistant shelter and permitted to pivot about the third structural member to permit air flow through the first airway.

The hinge assembly includes a first hinge, a second hinge, a pivot, a connecting piece, a swing part, and a vertical limiting part. During the turning of the casement sash, the swing part swings only around the vertical limiting part, with a limited motion space. Therefore, the swing part and the casement do not shake easily. When the casement sash is open, the position of the vertical limiting part and casement sash does not change. Because all force of gravity of the casement sash is transferred to the window frame through the vertical limiting part, the bottom of the casement sash does not rub the window frame, avoiding generation of noise and abrasion of components of the hung window.
