Abstract: The present vehicle hatch for passenger vehicles comprises a hatch cover, sealant member and mounting frame assembly. The mounting frame assembly allows for the hatch cover to open to angle greater than 90 degrees. The hatch may be in any one of several positions including: totally closed, providing a hermetic seal pervious to dust and waterproof; open in all its periphery; open only at its front; open only at its front; open only at its rear; open on its right or left side; and open with the upper cover at an angle greater than 90 degrees, thereby serving as an emergency exit. The mounting frame and hatch cover provide an improved seal against penetration of water and other particles, and provide an improved aerodynamic feature. The mounting frame may be telescopically adjustable to provide for secure mounting on vehicle bodies of varying thicknesses.

  • Patent number: 6585943
Abstract: A fluid delivery system (26) for an automated processor (A) delivers washing, microbial decontaminant, and rinse fluids to spray nozzles (102, 104, 106, 108, 110) in a chamber (12) for sequentially spraying the fluids over a lumened device (B), such as an endoscope. The fluid delivery system also delivers the fluids to connection ports (150, 152, 154) which connect with internal passages (187) of the device for delivering the fluids thereto. Leaking connectors (184) connect the automated processor connection ports with inlet ports (196) of the device and allow a portion of the washing, decontaminant, and rinsing solutions to leak from each inlet port. A computer control system (80) controls cleaning, decontamination, rinsing, and drying stages of a cycle, which are all carried out within the chamber, obviating the need for human contact with the device during processing.

  • Patent number: 6442896
Abstract: A hatch assembly in which the hatch lid can be opened along four or more axes. The hinge structure of the present invention is a continuous rod element. This rod element is integral to the frame structure of the hatch—either the hatch-lid frame or to the base frame on which the hatch lid is mounted. The hatch lid is opened by securing one side of the hatch lid to the base by engaging a pin and then applying force to the hatch-lid from direction of the enclosure. The present invention further includes an adjustable prop assembly having a support tube and an actuation rod. The actuation rod slides though the support tube and is adjustably and releasably held by a pair of mated ramped and friction blocks. These mated pairs reside on opposed sides of the actuation rod. The actuation rod has a varying diameter by which it forces the friction blocks into contact with the ramped blocks thereby locking the entire assembly.

  • Patent number: 6233879
Abstract: A double pivotable door, particularly for use with modular office partitions is disclosed. The double pivotable door includes a frame, which is mounted to a partition by at least one hinge having a first axis of rotation. The frame include a door which is mounted to the frame and can rotate about a second axis of rotation, where the second axis of rotation is parallel but spaced from the first axis of rotation. The door can thus be mounted to partitions where there is limited space, and can rotate about the first axis, as a typical door, or rotate about the first and second axes simultaneously, thereby reducing by approximately half the clearance required for opening and closing the door. Preferably, the door includes a mechanism to prevent the door from pivoting about the second axis. Also preferably, the handle for the door is integral therewith.
