A displacement mechanism is installed in the hinge to allow the door to be simultaneously lifted from the frame of the cabinet during a pivoting movement of the door into an open position. The displacement mechanism includes a slide displaceably disposed in a hinge housing secured to the cabinet frame and carrying the door via a mounting element mounted in the door, and a runner integrated in the slide and moveable relative thereto, the runner being connected to the mounting element. A glide layer, made of wear-resistant material having a gliding capability, is disposed between those surfaces of the hinge housing and/or of the slide and/or of the runner that respectively slide against one another during displacement of the slide in the hinge housing and of the runner relative to the slide.

Abstract: Overhead door assemblies having both interlocking and releasable guide assemblies, and multi-piece guide track assemblies for use with same are disclosed herein. An overhead door track configured in accordance with one embodiment of the invention includes a first side portion formed from a first piece of material and a second side portion formed from a second piece of material. The first side portion has a first guide surface and a first retention surface. The second side portion has a second guide surface and a second retention surface. In one aspect of this embodiment, the first side portion is joined to the second side portion to define an open channel or gap region therebetween. The first and second guide surfaces extend from the gap region toward a first direction, and the first and second retention surfaces diverge from the gap region toward a second direction, opposite to the first direction. The first and second retention surfaces can be configured to movably retain a door guide member.

Abstract: A housing assembly includes a housing having an access opening and a cover movable between a closed position wherein the cover generally covers the access opening and an open position wherein the cover generally does not cover the access opening. The assembly further includes a protrusion located on one of the housing or the cover, and a track located on the other one of the housing or the cover. The protrusion is slidably received in the track, and the track forms a generally closed loop shape such that the protrusion slides in the track when the cover is moved between the open and the closed positions. Additionally ramps may be provided on portions of the track to provide user feed back and to inhibit reverse motion of the protrusion.

Abstract: The invention pertains to a sliding door system with at least one automatically driven sliding leaf, which is guided on a traveling carriage and a support profile, where the drive and a runway rail are mounted in a housing above the sliding leaf, and where the sliding leaf can be swung open if necessary in the outward direction around a vertical axis. To create a sliding door system which ensures a reliable and effective sealing function, especially with respect to smoke and fire, which is suitable for use in escape and rescue routes, and which can be used anywhere, regardless of the structural conditions, the sliding leaf, when in the closed position, has sealing-devices, which are active at all times, on all horizontal and vertical edges.

Abstract: A retractable trackless spa enclosure includes at least two sections, a first section being slightly smaller than a second section. The first section may be retracted into the second section in reverse telescoping fashion. Both sections are mounted on wheels so that the spa may be more easily moved. Both sections of the enclosure may also include a sliding door for access/egress. In addition, the front end panel of the front section is pivotally mounted on rollers that move within a track. The pivotal mounting allows the front end panel to be rotated in its frame, so that it can be moved to a position horizontal to the ground, thereby providing sufficient clearance for the enclosure to pass over the spa. When the enclosure is retracted, the front end panel can be moved to a position adjacent the end wall of the rear section, so that an open-ended alcove is formed. The frame of the structure is formed from extruded aluminum, and is therefore very lightweight.

Abstract: A sliding door assembly comprises a frame assembly, a sliding panel carrier, and a sliding panel mounted to the sliding panel carrier. The sliding panel carrier is mounted to the frame assembly for generally rectilinear movement to enable movement of the sliding panel between a closed position and an open position. The sliding panel carrier has a pivot pin receiving opening. A door controlling unit moves the sliding panel carrier in a generally rectilinear manner between the open and closed positions. The sliding panel has a mounting bracket mounted to the top rail thereof. The bracket includes a pivot pin that moves between extended and retracted positions. The sliding panel is mounted to the sliding panel carrier by inserting the pivot pin into the pivot pin receiving opening. As a result, the sliding panel can swing relative to the frame assembly through a breakout movement from a normal, non-breakout position to a breakout position.
