Patent number: 7513078Abstract: A novel electrical floor-hinge device is provided, which contains an electrical motor and a speed reducing element configured on top of a platform element at a side on top of a body member. A vertical input shaft connected to the speed reducing element is joined to a lateral involute shaft via bevel gears. The involute shaft in turn engages a driven gear on a vertical output shaft. The top end of the output shaft is attached to a seat element whose top surface is fixedly joined to a lower inner corner of a door. By the electrical motor's driving the seat element into clockwise or counterclockwise swing, the door is closed or opened automatically. Patent number: 7134709Abstract: An automated car door opening system proposes a very simple yet reliable system that can easily be retrofitted on most cars. It uses the combination of a large electrically actuated inner shaft cooperating with a piston. The piston opens the car door slightly in a manner similar to the normal opening of a car door, so that the door clears the car frame and then, a combination of outward but more predominantly upward motion by the inner shaft has the door opening in an upwardly rotational motion along a vertical plane which fully opens it. The reverse process closes the door.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2005Date of Patent: November 14, 2006Inventor: Guy Valois

Patent number: 6918208Abstract: A window-regulating assembly selectively moves a window of a vehicle door between an open position and a closed position. The window-regulating assembly includes a rail that is fixedly secured to the vehicle door. The rail extends through a radius of curvature. A lift plate is slidably engaged with the rail. The lift plate is also secured to the window. The lift plate moves the window between the open and closed positions. A lead screw is secured to the rail. The lift plate travels along the lead screw to move the window between the open and closed positions. A drive motor is secured to lift plate. The drive motor receives electrical energy and converts the electrical energy into a selectively bidirectional rotational force to drive the lift plate over the lead screw. A pivot mount extends between the drive motor and the lift plate allowing the drive motor to move through the radius of curvature as the lift plate slides along the rail.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2003Date of Patent: July 19, 2005Assignee: Intier Automotive Closures Inc.Inventors: G.
