Abstract: A window regulator for operating a window pane includes an attachment channel configured for attachment to the window pane, a regulator base plate, a pair of sector gears, and a drive motor. Each sector gear includes a plurality of external gear teeth, and a lift arm slidingly coupled to the attachment channel. The sector gears are rotatably coupled to the base plate and are disposed such that the gear teeth of one of the sector gears directly engage the gear teeth of the other sector gears. The drive motor is in direct engagement with one of the sector gears. Consequently, rotation of the drive pinion of the drive motor causes the sector gears to rotate in opposing directions and the lift arms to either raise or lower the window pane.

Abstract: A window regulator comprises a flange member formed on a main arm so as to surround a hole penetrating the main arm and project from one side of the main arm, and a shaft section formed on a first sub-arm so as to project toward a second sub-arm, being in a sliding contact with an inner surface of the flange member corresponding to the hole, and secured to the second-sub arm. In this configuration, a distal edge portion of the flange member is formed with a curved surface toward the first sub-arm, thereby reducing a frictional resistance between the main arm and the first sub-arm. Thus, the window regulator can avoid an unusual noise caused during the respective rotations between the main arm and the first sub-arm, and ensures the rigidity of the first sub-arm.

  • Patent number: 6502352
Abstract: A motor vehicle power-operated window lift, comprises a mechanism for driving the window, an electric motor (3), an anti-pinch system which can be triggered when there is an obstacle obstructing the window travel, and an electronic circuit for controlling the motor and the anti-pinch system. The window lift comprises a spring to reduce the pinch force when the window is being raised. In one example, the spring associated with a top sheath has a stiffness of about at least 10N/mm, and is fully compressed only in response to a compression force of about at least 250 Newtons. The spring constitutes a shock absorber in case of a strong impact, transforming it into a relatively mild impact, thereby providing more time for the electronic circuit controlling the anti-pinch system to intervene and reduce the pinch force.

Abstract: According to the present invention, on the through opening edge portion, the flange portion is formed, and by arranging the outer surface of the axle portion to slide and rotate on the inner face of the flange portion, the first and second equalizer arms are pivotally supported by the lift arm. The circular projected portion formed around the axle portion contacts on the lift arm face to provide the predetermined clearance between the top portion of the flange portion and the lift arm face, and undesirable friction increase or stick slip there between is avoided. The lift arm and the first and second equalizer arms can be made of thinner steel plate material, and weight and cost reduction is obtained. The flange portion and the through opening are formed by burring on the lift arm, and also the axle portion and the circular projected portions are formed by stamping directly on the first equalizer, and also the weight and cost reduction of the window regulator is realized.

Abstract: A window regulator has a lift arm pivoted on the door and rotatable to raise and lower a window between open and closed positions. A lever is carried by the arm and pivotally connected to a gear rack crank. A crank mechanism is provided for turning a pinion gear and the pinion gear meshes with the gear rack. Accordingly, rotation of the pinion gear translates the rack and rotates the lever to pivot the lift arm thereby raising and lowering the window. A swing arm is pivoted on the pinion shaft and carries a roller which engages the rack so that the rack is captured between the roller and the pinion gear to maintain the rack in engagement with the pinion.
