Abstract: A sliding panel structure. The sliding panel structure includes a frame having an upper support track and a lower guide rail. At least one sliding panel is connected between the upper support track and the lower guide rail. The sliding panel includes a sliding panel pivot axis and an extension for riding in the lower guide rail. The extension prevents undesired pivoting of the sliding panel about the sliding panel pivot axis. A mutual attraction device is connected between the sliding panel and the frame with a first mutual attraction part connected to the frame and the second mutual attraction part connected to the sliding panel. A fulcrum is utilized for tilting the sliding panel whenever the first mutual attraction part engages the second mutual attraction part. The tilting of the sliding panel causes the extension to disengage the lower guide rail which allows the sliding panel to pivot about the sliding panel pivot axis.

The first half of the window may slide in the first channel, and the second channel is to receive a second half of the window which may be fixed. A number of elongated and preferably extruded glazing frame pieces are used each having a glazing channel on one side and a section on an opposite side to be fitted into one of the periphery pieces. The glazing frame pieces also have essentially the same shape in cross-section. A number of glazing stop pieces, each of which is to be secured to a respective one of the glazing frame pieces, are provided. These glazing stop pieces also have essentially the same shape in cross-section. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Abstract: A hanging panel assembly utilises a core which is encompassed by a press fit material installed by the user generally without mechanical attachments. A series for further members are subsequently connected to the press fit material using a snap-lock type connection. A locking mechanism is used with the hanging panel assembly which utilises a longitudinal latch operated by a rotating handle. An interference member dictates whether the longitudinal member may be moved. A disabling assembly moves the interference member out of engagement and allows the door to be opened from the inside without the necessity of inserting a key into the lock.

Abstract: The sliding door is secured by a locking mechanism in a closed position wherein the sliding panel is held against a frame. When the locking mechanism is released, the weight of the sliding door causes the panel to move away from the frame while tilting the wheels in which the sliding panel slides into tilted positions. The panel is then free to roll along guide rails on the tilted wheels. When in the closed position, seals on the movable panel seal against the frame. During travel of the panel, the seals are in spaced relation to the frame.
