  • Patent number: 11952820
Abstract: A vehicular slider window assembly includes a frame portion, a fixed window panel fixed relative to the frame portion, and a movable window panel. A drive system is operable to move the movable window panel between an opened position and a closed position. The drive system includes (i) a housing attached at the fixed window panel, (ii) a drive motor disposed in the housing, (iii) a threaded shaft disposed in the housing and rotatably driven by the drive motor, (iv) a connecting element that threadedly receives the threaded shaft therethrough and (v) a window connector that is affixed to the movable window panel and that pivotally connects to the connecting element. Rotation of the threaded shaft imparts a translational movement of the connecting element along the threaded shaft to move the movable window panel between the opened and closed positions.

Abstract: The present invention includes a sliding window assembly for a vehicle. The sliding window assembly comprises a first fixed panel configured for coupling with the vehicle and a second fixed panel configured for coupling with the vehicle. The second fixed panel is spaced from the first fixed panel to define an opening therebetween. A track is connected to the first fixed panel and to the second fixed panel and the track defines a U-shaped channel. The sliding window assembly also comprises a sliding panel disposed within the channel and moveable relative to the first and second fixed panels along the track for covering and uncovering the opening. The sliding window assembly further includes a channel seal having a finger contacting the sliding panel and a base extending from the finger and coupled to the track for sealing the channel from environmental elements.

Abstract: A rear sliding window assembly suitable for use in a vehicle includes a fixed portion and a sliding portion and upper and lower track members disposed at a surface of first and second fixed glass portions. The sliding portion comprises a glass window panel and is laterally movable between the upper and lower track members relative to the fixed portion. The glass window panel is movable between an opened position and a closed position, and the glass window panel is disposed at the gap that is between the first and second fixed glass window portions when at its closed position. A glide member is longitudinally movable along the lower track member to facilitate movement of the glass window panel between its opened and closed positions. A sealing member is disposed between the fixed portion and the sliding portion at least when the glass window panel is at its closed position.

Abstract: A sliding window assembly for a vehicle includes a fixed panel and a sliding panel moveable relative to the fixed panel between an open position and a closed position. An elongated member is connected to the fixed panel and defines a channel extending along a longitudinal axis from a first end to a second end. The channel receives the sliding panel for movement of the sliding panel relative to the fixed panel. A rail is disposed in the channel along the longitudinal axis and is spaced along the longitudinal axis from the first end. The elongated member defines a drain hole molded into the elongated member in the channel. The drain hole is defined between the rail and the first end of the channel along the axis for draining water from the channel.

Abstract: A sliding window assembly for a vehicle includes a fixed panel and a sliding panel. A track includes a first side wall connected to the fixed panel and a second side wall spaced from and extending along the first side wall defining a channel therebetween. The channel receives the sliding panel for movement of the sliding panel relative to the fixed panel. A horizontal seal is coupled to the first side wall in the channel for sealing between the first side wall and the sliding panel. A vertical seal is affixed to the fixed panel and intersects the horizontal seal at an intersection in the channel. The vertical seal extends along the wall into the channel beyond the horizontal seal at the intersection for preventing the flow of water from the horizontal seal past the vertical seal and onto an interior side of the fixed panel.

Abstract: A sliding window assembly includes a fixed window panel and a sliding window panel that is movable along a guide rail relative to the fixed window panel between an open position and a closed position. A window frame is fixed to the sliding window panel and includes a first guide feature. A locking frame is coupled to the window frame and includes a second guide feature. The guide rail, in cooperation with the first and the second guide features, initially guides the sliding window panel to an offset position relative to the fixed window panel, and then guides the sliding window panel in a lateral direction to uncover an opening in the fixed window panel. A locking mechanism cooperates with the locking frame to selectively lock the sliding window panel to the guide rail.

Abstract: A roller door system includes one or more sets of rollers configured to mount to a panel frame member on an upper end of a panel, and move through a complementary upper guide. A lower side of the panel frame can also be guided through one or more bottom tracks. These components, when coupled with the resin panel, can provide the ability to provide a smooth gliding motion for the resin panel door. In addition, the frame in which the panel is mounted can be configured with one or more components to accommodate the unique expansion and contraction properties of resin materials, and thus allow a stable, long term mounting solution. The upper guide and the lower track can also be configured with one or more components or mechanisms for pitch adjustment, as well as to adjust for uneven or irregular mounting surfaces.
