    Abstract: A spacer that attaches to a window sash in order to create an improved window construction. The window construction has a window frame with side tracks. A window sash is set within the side tracks of the window frame. Gap spaces exist between the window sash and the side tracks. To prevent cocking, spacers are provided. The spacers attached to the sides of the window sash inside the tracks where the spacer is not visible. Each spacer has a base, a spring arm that extends from the base, and a contact head that is supported by the spring arm. The base is mounted to the window sash within a gap space. The spring arm extends into the gap space and biases the contact head toward the side track. The contact head also presents a physical barrier to lateral movement. This inhibits the sash from cocking within the window frame.

    Abstract: A safety gate has two frame assemblies, a shaft fixing assembly and a stretcher assembly. A relative distance between the two frame assemblies is fixed by the shaft fixing assembly first. The stretcher assembly further pushes the two frame assemblies outwardly so that the two frame assemblies tightly abut against two walls of a mounting premise and can be held on the walls securely. When the safety gate is not in use, the stretcher assembly is released to loosen the safety gate from the walls and the stretcher assembly can be moved to elsewhere. As the safety gate can be repeatedly mounted without having to readjust the relative distance between the two frame assemblies with the shaft fixing assembly, the operation of the safety gate is easy and convenient.

While the sliding lid moves from the closed state to the open state, a projecting shaft separates from the first guide rails and the projecting portion slides to abut the second guide rails.

    Abstract: A side adjustable roller assembly for a sliding door comprises a housing containing a rotatable cam and a wheel carriage with a guide wheel mounted therein pivotally attached to the housing. The assembly is insertable into a recess in the edge of a door, being held therein by a slot in one end of the housing, and by a bend in a strip of spring steel attached to the housing at the other end which engage opposite ends of the recess, respectively. Contact of the cam surface with that of the wheel carriage controls the distance that the carriage can be pivoted into the recess by the door's weight, against the force of an associated spring urging the carriage away from the recess. The point of engagement of the cam surface with the carriage, and therefore the distance between the door's edge and the surface over which it is mounted, depends upon the degree of the cam's rotation, determined by adjustment of cam mounting trunions which can be accessed from the side of the housing.

    Abstract: A roller assembly is provided as an easily replaceable assembly for use with a sliding door. The roller assembly includes a roller or wheel mounted in a roller housing and carried in a cantilevered manner at one end of a leaf spring. The opposite end of the leaf spring is permanently bent to form a hook which is engageable with a mounting tab on an upper or lower door edge through a mounting insertion gap in the door edge such that the leaf spring extends across a bearing tab. When the hook is engaged on the mounting tab the roller is carried in a roller receiving pocket in the door edge such that the leaf spring bears against a bearing tab. The leaf spring allows the roller to move into and out of a roller receiving pocket to accommodate imperfections and obstructions in a stationary track on the door frame in which the roller travels.

    Abstract: A system of sliding doors commonly called patio-doors, having a wooden structure and well adapted for a household use. This device comprises a wooden rectangular frame receiving two glazed panels, one of which is sliding. The latter is supported on its lower portion by rollers. In the upper portion of the movable panel, the guiding system is constituted by a spring-loaded runner, preferably a channel whose two flanges extend into two parallel grooves on the top of the slidable panel. To remove the sliding panel from the frame supporting it, the operator lowers the retractable runner; this releases the upper portion of the panel from the frame and allows it to swing outwardly. A safety device is provided to prevent accidental removal of the upper portion of the sliding panel from the frame. Also described is a patio-door unit comprising two sets of glazed panels, each having one sliding panel.

Holder 10 includes a carriage 25 that fits within the plow 19 of sash 11, and carriage 25 has a pair of runners 27 and 28 whose lateral edges are trapped under guides 21 to confine the runners to vertical movement along the track. Carriage 25 also has a friction shoe 35 variably pressed against the sash run surface of the track by an adjustment screw 15. Balance spring 13 pulls upward on carriage 25; and platform 26, connected to carriage 25 by adjustment screw 15, straddles plow 19 and supports the lower corner of sash 11. Screw 15 adjusts the friction of holder 10 within the sash run by the pressure it applies to friction shoe 35.
