  • Patent number: 10351975
Abstract: A device includes a drafting and twisting system. The drafting and twisting system includes a first stage drafting unit, a successive second stage drafting unit and an integrating and twisting unit. The first stage drafting unit includes a combination of back rollers and a middle roller. The second stage drafting unit includes a front roller and the middle roller. Blending proportion and linear densities of the four ingredients are dynamically adjusted by the first stage asynchronous drafting mechanism, and reference linear density is adjusted by the second stage synchronous drafting mechanism. The invention can not only accurately control a linear density change, but also accurately control color change of the yarn. Further, rotation rate of the middle roller is constant, ensuring a reproducibility of patterns and colors of the yarn with changing linear density.

The unit is prevented from being clogged up with sheets due to rigidities of the sheets. Also, simultaneous delivery of plural sheets is suppressed. The allowable range of rigidities of paper currencies and the allowable range of their widths can be extended. The roller has a central portion extending along an axis, an outer peripheral portion formed around the central portion and made of a resilient body, and plural helical ribs connecting together the central portion and the outer peripheral portion. Each rib consists of a resilient body. Each rib is so shaped as to thicken gradually from the central portion toward the outer peripheral portion.

  • Patent number: 6939279
Abstract: A roller assembly for a sheet material transport assembly is disclosed, wherein skewing of the transported sheet material relative to the transport assembly is reduced. The roller assembly includes an elongate shaft having a compliant layer disposed about the shaft. A relatively non-compliant layer is disposed about the compliant layer to form a tire, wherein the non-compliant layer has a circumference, which is substantially unchanged upon operable loading of the roller assembly.

Abstract: In order to manufacture a discharging roller which discharges a recording medium from a recording apparatus, there are a first die formed with a first recess extending in an axial direction of a shaft portion of the discharging roller, and a second die formed with a second recess extending in the axial direction. The first die and the second die are combined such that the first recess and the second recess face to form a continuous cavity. Synthetic resin is injected into the cavity to mold a bore portion of the shaft portion.

  • Patent number: 6846277
Abstract: In a roller enveloping a base body for winding up a material web, particularly a paper web, the circumferential surface contacted by the winding material is more radially resilient near the two roller ends than in the mid-roller area, compensating, at least partially, for a deflection of the base body at the maximum winding diameter. This increased radial resilience near the two roller ends is due to an appropriate resilient layer applied on at least sections of the base body and/or at least one appropriate resilient element placed on the base body.

  • Patent number: 6691615
Abstract: A printing plate is only guided by and wound around peripheral surfaces of cylinders. The cylinders are disposed along an axis of a rotating shaft at predetermined intervals, and support the entire printing plate with substantially equal balance. The printing plate has a degree of firmness, and thus, the printing plate can hold itself in a substantially cylindrical shape even if it is merely rolled in the air. Therefore, the whole printing plate can be accurately wound and held onto a peripheral locus of a predetermined radius coaxial with the rotating shaft merely by disposing guide members as auxiliary guides for positioning and winding parts of the printing plate.
