Movable Guards Patents (Class 5/100)
  • Patent number: 9617747
Abstract: The present invention is for a safety guard rail system having folding guard rails designed to be raised or lowered at their base by a single individual from an acceptable safe distance from the edge of a precipice, such as the edge of a building roof. A sliding sleeve hinge lock locks each folding rail in an erect position and can be remotely unlocked for folding the rail. An elongated grappling tool has a hook-like end for grabbing the sliding sleeve hinge lock handle for locking and unlocking the hinge lock from a distance when erecting or folding a guard rail.

  • Patent number: 9289075
Abstract: A metal crib bedstead includes a pair of symmetrical widthwise frames, a pair of symmetrical longitudinal frames, a mattress support frame and four elongated anchor planks. The widthwise frames and the longitudinal frames are made of metal and coupled together by wedging and welding. The mattress support frame includes an outer frame, a mesh frame and a plurality of springs connecting the mesh frame to the outer frame to evenly hold a mattress on the mattress support frame. The elongated anchor planks connect to the widthwise frame and the mattress support frame, and four anchor struts are fastened on the outer frame respectively near the lower ends of the elongated anchor planks for the anchor planks to rest without swaying. Hence the mattress support frame with different sizes can be coupled with the widthwise frames and the longitudinal frames. Assembly can be done quickly with enhanced strength.

  • Patent number: 7540046
Abstract: A crib railing includes a driving means, an opening/closing means and a railing coupling with the driving means and the opening/closing means. The driving means' seat has a top surface formed as a helical parabolic surface to allow the railing to automatically return at any angles relative to the driving means. The opening/closing means has an upper cover, a depressing means, a handgrip means, a slider, a lower cover and a linkage bar. The depressing means and handgrip means are single-handed operable at meantime, and can drive the linkage bar running through the handgrip means up and down to form an open or latch relationship with the railing. The handgrip means has a wedge with an inclined member to drive the slider to latch on a latch member of the railing. The invention provides the opening/closing movements of the driving means and opening/closing means and swiveling return of the railing.
