Abstract: An improved portable baby carrier rocking system in which allows almost all existing car seat carriers, baby carriers and baby bassinets to be attached to it. This baby carrier rocker mounts underneath the baby carrier and attaches to it by a simple strap. This baby carrier rocker can be battery operated or powered by an external power supply. It has different rocking speed settings and it will rock any bottom shaped carrier profile from flat to curved. An electric motor drives an offset link in which raises and lowers four supporting arms underneath the baby carrier, thus rocking the carrier back and forth from its center pivoting position. This baby carrier rocker has extendable and retractable legs in which flips out for greater rocker stability. Its novel compact size makes this rocker easily transportable and can be used in small confined areas like in restaurants, camping tents, in crowded rooms, areas etc.

Abstract: A rocker bed assembly for infants includes upper and lower hollow frame members that join with a mid-section frame via respective hinge members. The hinge members, which include push button release mechanisms, are positioned on each side of the rocker bed along the upper portion and lower frame portions and function to position the respective frame members relative to the mid-section frame. The release mechanisms enable pivoting of the frame members, and therefore, the rocker bed, between an opened, fully extended position and closed, folded position. The mid-section frame forms a slightly curved base for engaging a support surface. A flexible fabric covering is stretched tautly about the frame assembly to provide a support surface for the infant lying thereon. The taut covering, combined with the curved base, allow the bed to be rocked by the motion of the infant or by a caregiver.

  • Patent number: 6152081
Abstract: A kennel system for confining domestic dogs consisting of four panel members (FIG. 5A) attached through a spring biasing element (FIG. 8) is presented. Each panel member consists of a first and second vertical corner post attached to upper and lower horizontal members. Each horizontal member contains a behavioral modification element (FIG. 4) for allowing each panel member to balance about a point. Consequently, when the contained animal brushes against the panels, they oscillate. This oscillatory motion startles the animal causing it to move away from the panels and towards the center of the kennel, thus, reinforcing desired behavior. Since the kennel system works in conjunction with the dog's natural instinct to move away from unstable objects, the top of the kennel is eliminated and the panels are lowered to allow for human interaction with the animal while it is confined.
