Abstract: An apparatus includes a rack plate 202 with a T-shaped slot 206 and upright protrusions 204 and is movable relative to a frame 106 between first, second, and third positions. A pinion plate 302 rotatably coupled to the frame 106 includes upright extensions 304 and a lock pin 306 movable within the slot 206. In the first position, the lock pin 206 is positioned in a first location within the slot 206, and as the rack plate 202 moves from the first to the second position, a first extension 304A engages a first protrusion 204A, which rotates the pinion plate 302. In the second position, the lock pin 306 is positioned in a second location within the slot 206, and as the rack plate 202 moves from the second position to the third position, a second extension 304B engages a second protrusion 204B and rotates the pinion plate 302.

Abstract: A therapeutic treatment table comprises a frame and a treatment platform that is mounted on the frame and adapted to support at least a portion of the body of a patient. A preferred treatment table also includes an arm support section which is mounted on the frame. The arm support section comprises an arm support that is moveable by a patient on the table independently of the treatment platform.

Abstract: A pull down bed with automatic locking device has a movable framework, which constitutes a mattress frame, and is hinged to a container body, which constitutes a piece of furniture, so as to define a closed position, in which said mattress frame is substantially inside the piece of furniture, and an open position, for use as a bed, in which the mattress frame is in a horizontal position and rests on the ground by means of two feet. The mattress frame is hinged to the piece of furniture at one end and has its feet at the other end. The pull down bed includes a device for locking said mattress frame in the closed or horizontal position, which is actuated by an actuation device, which includes the feet.

Abstract: A wall bed assembly including a wall cabinet and a bed frame. The bed frame is pivoted from a vertical, stored position within the wall cabinet to a horizontal position for use as a bed. The bed frame is connected to the wall cabinet with a pivot bracket secured to the bed frame which pivotally attaches to the lower end of a counterbalancing piston. The upper end of the counterbalancing piston is pivotally secured to a plate that attaches to the wall cabinet side panel. Additionally, the bed frame includes a pair of non-linear legs pivotally attached for supporting the frame in the horizontal position. The wall bed assembly also includes retractable magnets for securing the bed frame in the vertical position. A safety release position is also provided. A bed frame assembly for a customizable wall cabinet is also provided.

Abstract: A folding bed frame utilizes a spring support bracket that is located intermediate a bed support frame and a mattress support frame. Separate pairs of tensioning springs attach the spring support bracket to the bed support frame and to the mattress support frame. This tiered spring arrangement provides an enhanced counterweighting force to the mattress support frame, assisting a user when raising or lowering the bed. Additionally, a hanger is attached to a rear surface of a front panel to assist in the proper positioning of the panel prior to its attachment to the mattress support frame.

Abstract: A pull down bed that pivots from a vertical, stow away position to a horizontal position for use when sleeping is provided. Weight bearing leg panels are hingedly attached to the mattress platform and swing downward and away from the platform sides when the bed is lowered. A headboard is slidably mounted on parallel horizontal rails and can slide forward when the bed is lowered to present the look of a traditional bed.

Abstract: Improvement in Combination bed (4) and desk (3) is disclosed: an articulated parallelogram (6, 8, 10, 11) based system and mechanism that links bed frame (4) and desktop (3) to elements (6, 10) fixed to a wall (or support or furniture body). Bed rotates as a wallbed, and desktop goes down and up always leveled. In raised position, bed lies against the wall, bedding concealed, and cantilever desktop at standard height rests against bed bottom. In the lowered position, the bed is deployed at normal height and desktop goes underneath at floor level. Desktop can admit objects as a PC monitor (up to 0.4 m height) that can remain undisturbed through conversion and stowing.

Abstract: A folding cabinet bed is described for providing a piece of furniture that opens to a full-length bed in an attractive chest with a small footprint. The invention comprises a cabinet that houses a mattress, such as a futon, and allows the futon to be deployed as a bed. The cabinet is deep and tall enough to enclose a folded futon and of sufficient width to accommodate standard sizes of futon mattresses, without a separate mattress platform. Hinges on the bottom of the front and back walls of the cabinet enable the cabinet to be opened vertically so that the front and back walls fold down to a sleeping position, without mechanical devices to assist in deploying the bed. The top of the cabinet can become a headboard for the bed in the open configuration. Decorative handles or other protrusions on the front and back walls of the cabinet are sized to extend outward from the cabinet the same distance as the feet/supports of the cabinet to create a level sleeping surface when unfolded.

Abstract: An improved furniture bed assembly primarily comprising a housing having a caster assembly, a stationary frame assembly and a bed frame assembly. Housed within and secured to the housing, the bed frame assembly has means to fold within the furniture housing. The caster assembly is a retractable wheel assembly to facilitate movement of the instant invention. To use the bed assembly, a user opens the housing, exposing the bed. The user pulls the bed assembly partially out of the furniture housing allowing the bed frame assembly to lock in place, to allow the user to safely and comfortably lay down and rest on the bed.

Abstract: The present invention provides an article of furniture in the form of a cabinet and folding bed combination that provides a comfortable sleeping surface for the user. The present invention provides a mattress assembly capable of receiving a mattress having a thickness of up to 4″ and capable of being folded in spaced relation for storage inside the cabinet. The present invention is designed for convenient storage inside the cabinet without the use of a locking mechanism. The unique design of the present invention allows the center of gravity of the front panel to change as it is rotated so that the weight of the mattress assembly assists in closing the front panel and keeps the front panel firmly closed against the front opening of the cabinet.

Abstract: A baby diaper changing station comprises a base and a support platform hingedly mounted at one side to the base and a rail structure on at least one side of the platform to increase the effective depth of the platform. A utility channel surrounds the platform for holding various diaper changing supplies and removable protective panels are positioned on bottom and side surfaces of the platform to reduce vandalism damage. A waste chute is formed in the base or support platform of the diaper changing station and cooperates with a waste receptacle proximate the station for receiving used diapers and other related waste. Accessory hooks on the platform are configured to receive and hold diaper changing supplies, such as a diaper bag. An alternative embodiment of the diaper changing station utilizes a platform having nested sections which telescope to increase the effective depth of the platform.

Abstract: A folding bed assembly for use within an article of furniture, such as a desk, having a fixed top wall. A series of bed sections, pivoted to one another in succession, are foldable into a generally rectangular collapsed condition in which the longer dimension of the rectangle is oriented vertically when the folded sections are within the article of furniture. The bed sections are mounted on a wheeled carriage, and a vertical panel hides the bed assembly when it is within the article of furniture. A carriage linkage responds to pivoting of the panel from its vertical orientation to a horizontal orientation for moving the carriage and bed sections out of the article of furniture. A swing-out linkage pivotally supports the collapsed bed sections on the carriage, the swing-out linkage constraining the collapsed bed sections to move between a storage position, in which the collapsed bed sections are close to the carriage, and a swing-out position in which the collapsed bed sections are elevated above the carriage.

The frame may adopt two main positions, a horizontal and folded position to act as a bed, and a vertical extended position to act as exercise frame for the practice of gymnastics.

Abstract: A cabinet having a retractable bed formed from the two major components of a bed frame and a cabinet having a chamber therein for pivotally receiving the bed frame. The structure for pivotally mounting the bed frame is a pair of coiled torsion springs. These springs are mounted on a rod member whose opposite ends are secured to the side walls of the cabinet frame. The coiled torsion springs have a laterally extending leg member that is detachably captured by structure in the bed frame. These coiled torsion springs also have a second leg member and it is secured to structure for preventing the rotation of that end of the coiled torsion spring about the rod member. A vertically oriented headboard and a vertically oriented footboard each have one of their vertical edges pivotally hinged to the front edge of the side walls of the cabinet frame.
