Abstract: A barrier having first and second spaced posts interconnected by a rail, wherein the rail and posts are not inserted within one another. In the exemplary embodiments, the parts are hollow in at least the region of the intended interconnection. Each post is connected to the rail by a coupling. Each coupling includes a connector that extends inside the hollow region of the post and rail. The post includes an aperture wherein when assembled the connector extends through the aperture. The connecter includes an abutment that abuts an inside of the post to prevent movement of the connector through the aperture. The connector is moveable further into one of the hollow sections of the post or rail to withdraw the connector from the other of the post or rail. This allows the rail to be disconnected from the post without increasing the distance between the two spaced posts.
Abstract: A fence section includes an upper horizontal rail and a lower horizontal rail extending along respective upper and lower rail axes. A horizontal upper wall of the upper rail includes apertures spaced apart along the length of the upper rail. Vertical members extend beyond the upper wall through an internal cavity of the upper rail and through a respective aperture. The upper rail includes a first counterpart of a connecting structure for connecting at least one vertical member to the upper rail, the first counterpart being integrally formed with the upper rail. The at least one vertical member includes a second counterpart of the connecting structure, the second counterpart being integrally formed with the vertical member and configured to directly engage the first counterpart of the upper rail upon insertion of the vertical member through the respective aperture in the upper wall of the upper rail.

Abstract: A structure including a first hollow-section Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) member, and a second hollow-section FRP member arranged at an angle to the first member. A rod extends through the second member. The rod also has a threaded end section extending through or into the first member. The opposed end of the rod is fixed to a further member. A nut secures the threaded end section to the first member, and screwing of the nut and threaded end section together exerts a compressive force on the second member and a tensile force on the rod.
Abstract: A process for removing undesirable constituents from a gas, including providing an immovable, non-combustible woven adsorbate element, passing a flow of the gas through the element so that the gas is sharply deflected in the element and so that the constituents are adsorptively added to the element, interrupting the gas flow when the element reaches a maximum load of adsorbed constituents, directly heating the element while the gas flow is interrupted, by applying an electric voltage, to a process temperature of at 200.degree. C.

Abstract: An end frame assembly includes an outer frame, a lower support attached to the outer frame, and a plurality of spindles attached between the outer frame and the lower support. Heat deformable connectors are disposed between the outer frame and the lower support subsequent to painting the outer frame, lower support, and spindles. A plurality of rivets are used to connect the outer frame to selected spindles.
