Abstract: Provided is a mattress foundation that includes: a headboard end panel assembly; a footboard end panel assembly; a left side panel assembly; and a right side panel assembly. The left side panel assembly detachably attaches to the headboard end panel assembly and to the footboard end panel assembly, and the right side panel assembly detachably attaches to the headboard end panel assembly and to the footboard end panel assembly. Each of the left side panel assembly and the right side panel assembly comprises two side panel subassemblies that are attached together end-to-end when in use but that can be arranged substantially parallel to each other when not in use.
Abstract: Provided is a mattress foundation that includes: a headboard end panel assembly, a footboard end panel assembly, a left side panel assembly, and a right side panel assembly, each having a first end and a second end. The first end of the left side panel assembly slidably engages with the first end of the headboard end panel assembly, thereby forming a first corner attachment. The second end of the left side panel assembly slidably engages with the first end of the footboard end panel assembly, thereby forming a second corner attachment. The first end of the right side panel assembly slidably engages with the second end of the headboard end panel assembly, thereby forming a third corner attachment. The second end of the right side panel assembly slidably engages with the second end of the footboard end panel assembly, thereby forming a fourth corner attachment.
Abstract: A connection system for use in joining structural members of a bed frame together. One of the structural members has a wedge and the other of the structural members has a cavity formed in a receiver. The wedge has a plurality of exterior surfaces that contact with a plurality of interior surfaces formed in the cavity. There may be four interior and exterior surfaces of the wedge and receiver and at least two of the surfaces taper inwardly in the downward direction. The interfitting of the wedge into the receiver make a solid connection that is enhanced by weight of the bedding positioned thereon. The connection resists twisting forces as well as lateral and fore and aft forces.
Abstract: A linking means is disclosed for releasably connecting and quickly disconnecting two relatively discrete members in longitudinally aligned load bearing or load transmitting relationship to each other. The discrete members are connected by the coaction of hook-like flanges strategically disposed upon one member with angularly disposed retainer flanges disposed upon the other discrete member and the containment of a portion of one member between spaced outreaching flange members integrally formed upon said second member while a portion of the confronting edges of both members engage.By disengaging the confronting edges of the member and vertically moving the first member relative to said second member, a quick disconnect is achieved.
Abstract: A dismountable bed stand is formed of side rails, and cross members comprising telescopic horizontal members terminating in vertical legs, the side rails and cross members interlocking rigidly without the use of fastenings and without obstructing the bed supporting surfaces on the side rails, while the whole stand may be fabricated from only three different metal sections.
Abstract: A connector means for lockably releasably connecting the rigid side frame members containing the flexible container for a waterbed each connector means including a keeper member having openings for receiving the projecting members of a latch member. A locking member mechanically connects the latch member to the keeper member.
