  • Patent number: 8417350
Abstract: A device and method for programming an implantable pulse generator. In one embodiment, commands are entered designating implantable pulse generator programming variables into programmer memory. At least some of the commands are transformed into an executable macro. The macro is stored in the programmer memory. The macro is executed to transmit the programming variables to the implantable pulse generator.

  • Patent number: 8375483
Abstract: A daybed is disclosed that is convertible between a sitting configuration suitable for use, for example, as a sofa, and a lying configuration suitable for use, for example, as a bed. The daybed generally comprises a bed platform, a back panel connected to the bed platform, a mattress positioned at least partly on the bed platform, and a support member movable relative to the bed platform and back panel for use in at least partly helping convert the daybed. For example, in example embodiments the support member includes a storage container that may be positioned at least partly under the bed platform when the daybed is in the sitting configuration. And the storage container may be moved forward of the bed platform when the daybed is converted to the lying configuration so that at least part of the mattress may be also positioned on the storage container.

  • Patent number: 6934979
Abstract: A convertible bench including a frame having a stationary top. The convertible bench also includes a hinged top hinged to the stationary top and movable between a seat position and a bed position. A drawer is housed in the frame and is movable between an open and a closed position. The hinged top and the stationary top create a level surface when the hinged top is in a bed position and the drawer is in an open position.

  • Patent number: 6161231
Abstract: A sleeper sofa incorporating an air mattress including a telescoping mattress frame for supporting a mattress support subassembly consisting of hinge panels. The hinges used to connect the panels limit the angular range of motion of adjacent panels to plus or minus 90.degree. from a coplanar arrangement. The "panel" that defines the seating surface on which seat cushions rest when the sofa is in the seating position may be supported in the seating position by a pair of side rails that lack significant structure in the seating plane. This "panel" may also include a set of sinuous springs clad in padding similar to the seat-cushion support surface of a conventional non-sleeper sofa. The air mattress used in the sleeper sofa can be a multi-chamber design in which the outer edges of the mattress are inflated to a higher pressure to prevent the user from rolling off the edge of the mattress.

  • Patent number: 5163193
Abstract: Four post units in a positional pattern on which the patient lies, in a surgery operation. The post units are supported on a table, and have recesses in their under surface forming vacuum chambers with the table top. Hoses lead from the vacuum chambers to a vacuum source, and valve means individually control the hoses. The post units are thus locked in place by vacuum, and each can be released individually to enable it to be adjustably moved on the table top to enable better positioning for engagement by the patient.

  • Patent number: 5101524
Abstract: A sofa that is convertible into a platform bed has a transversely extending stationary frame. A left arm assembly, a right arm assembly and a back assembly are attached to the stationary frame. The sofa seat and back cushions are removable from a support surface located above the stationary frame. A plurality of laterally spaced telescoping slide assemblies have their rear ends secured to the stationary frame. The telescoping slide assemblies each have an elongated rear telescoping member, at least one elongated intermediate telescoping member and an elongated front telescoping member and all of the telescoping members have a top wall surface that remains in substantially the same horizontal plane when they are in their retracted position and when they are in their extended position. The cushion support platform assembly may take one of several forms but they all stow in a position above the stationary frame and below the seat cushion.

  • Patent number: 4104747
Abstract: A convertible sofa and bed structure comprising a pair of pivotally interconnected frame members. One of the frame members is utilized as a backrest and the other as a seatrest in the seating or sofa position; and both are moveable to aligned horizontal positions in the bed position. An important feature of the structure resides in the fact that operating linkages are positioned outwardly of a zone beneath the frame member which functions as a seatrest. Thereby, the defined zone will provide an unobstructed storage compartment.
