Dovetails Patents (Class 5/300)
  • Patent number: 11672353
Abstract: A bed frame system for use particularly in hotels that includes side rails and cross rails that include extruded plastic panels that extend downwardly to the floor to block the space underneath the bed frame. The cross rails are connected to the side rails by corner members with a system that allows the entire bed frame to be assembled without the use of tools. In one embodiment, the bed frame is a platform style bed frame that is constructed of an upper bed frame section and a lower bed frame section that are interlocked together to raise the height of the bed frame and eliminate the foundation. The bed frame may have a deck made up of a plurality of individual slats that are supported by the side rails to support the mattress.

  • Patent number: 11457747
Abstract: A connecting structure of support rods of a bedstead is disclosed. The bedstead includes a bed frame. The bed frame includes support rods arranged and connected between two lateral frame rods. The two lateral frame rods each have a plurality of slots. A positioning block is insertedly connected to each slot. The positioning block includes a positioning groove block. The positioning groove block has first positioning portions therein. Two sides of either end of each support rod are formed with positioning openings for the first positioning portions to be engaged therein. The support rods are easily and quickly connected to the bed frame, and the connection and support is stable.

  • Patent number: 11013323
Abstract: A full access frame can be designed with a thin frame with stiles that are about half the width of conventional stiles, such that inner sides of the stiles and rails include hidden/blind connection points to facilitate hidden or blind mounting of the full access frame to cabinet sides with mounted dowel connectors that attach to the hidden/blind connection points. A framed full access cabinet includes a full access frame mounted on front of a cabinet box, such that drawer rails and door hinges can be mounted on inner cabinet sides of the cabinet box. The dowel connectors and the hidden/blind connection points can be respectively slide-in dowels and slide-in inserts or alternatively snap-in dowels and snap-in inserts.

  • Patent number: 10501942
Abstract: A telescoping rail assembly for a roof hatch includes a bracket configured to couple to the roof hatch, where the roof hatch is configured to provide access to a roof of a building, a post coupled to the bracket and configured to extend from the roof hatch and outward from the roof, and a telescoping rail having a first portion and a second portion, where the first portion and the second portion are slidably adjustable with respect to one another, and where the telescoping rail is disposed along a portion of a perimeter of the roof hatch to enable the telescoping rail assembly to enclose an area that includes the roof hatch.

  • Patent number: 8903591
Abstract: A vehicle can be controlled in a first autonomous mode of operation by at least navigating the vehicle based on map data. Sensor data can be obtained using one or more sensors of the vehicle. The sensor data can be indicative of an environment of the vehicle. An inadequacy in the map data can be detected by at least comparing the map data to the sensor data. In response to detecting the inadequacy in the map data, the vehicle can be controlled in a second autonomous mode of operation and a user can be prompted to switch to a manual mode of operation. The vehicle can be controlled in the second autonomous mode of operation by at least obtaining additional sensor data using the one or more sensors of the vehicle and navigating the vehicle based on the additional sensor data.

  • Patent number: 6557191
Abstract: A bed frame includes a headboard, a foot board, a right side rail, and a left side rail. Each side rail has a first member and a corresponding second member. Each of the first members is configured to be releasably attached to the headboard solely by mating end joint members formed in the first members and in the headboard, and each of the second members is configured to be releasably attached to the foot board solely by mating end joint members formed in the second members and in the foot board. Each of the first members is configured to be releasably attached to the corresponding second member solely by mating side joint members formed in each of the first members and in the corresponding second members.

  • Patent number: 5740568
Abstract: An adjustable articulated bed manufactured in seven or so components for packing in three or so separate smaller boxes for easy transport. These components can be snap-fit together for easy assembly (and disassembly). The bed includes a bed frame, a power module or carriage and a bedding foundation. The foundation in turn includes a head portion and a body portion both of which are snap-fit securable in position to the power carriage. Pins releasably hold the roller assemblies of the power carriage to side rails of the frame for rolling moving of the carriage on the frame. A motor of the power carriage controllably moves the foundation head portion with respect to the frame and body portion. A drag link pivotally connects the head portion to the head rail of the frame. The drag link can be releasably connected at either end thereof or in the middle, snapping the two parts of the drag link together.

  • Patent number: 4867598
Abstract: A tapered dovetail mortise and tenon joint is formed within typically a post and beam or within two joists which intersect perpendicular to each other. The tapered dovetail shaped mortise portion cavity is shaped to interfit with a dovetail shaped tenon portion. The tenon portion has incorporated therein a plurality of acute angles which permit easy assembly, cause precise alignment and cause forces to be created when components are connected using the joint which forces tend to bring the mated components into very rigid tightly interfitted assembled relationship. The joint, when assembled, is not visible because of the unique configuration of the mortise and tenon portions. A very large load bearing capability of inherent in the joint partly because of the large mating surface incorporated into the side surfaces and the bottom surfaces and also partly becuase the integrity of the chords and the web of the "I-Beam" cross section of the components is not violated.
