Patent number: 11992144Abstract: A device for positioning a case on an object, such as a pillow, is disclosed. The device may include handles on a top portion of the device, a first fastener on an inside portion of a first side of the device, and a second fastener on an outside portion of a second side of the device. An object is positioned on an inside surface of the device and the first and second sides are folded over the object. The fasteners of the first and second sides are secured together such that the device is in a closed configuration and the object is secured within the device. A case is positioned over the device and the object. When the handles are grabbed and pulled while grabbing onto a portion of the object and/or a portion of the case, the device is removed away, thereby leaving the pillowcase positioned over the object.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2023Date of Patent: May 28, 2024Inventor: Helen Estep

Patent number: 11089885Abstract: Hooks, fixtures, assemblies, brackets, shelves, attachment points, supports, and similar apparatus for attachment to a display panel. Some disclosed attachments include a baseplate having a rotational axis around which the baseplate is rotated during installation. The baseplate defines at least one clearance providing clearance between the baseplate perimeter edge and a display panel when the baseplate is rotated into position. The baseplate may also include at least one engagement portion limiting the baseplate from being further rotated around the baseplate axis in the installation direction, upon engagement with the display.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2019Date of Patent: August 17, 2021Inventor: Jeffrey Steffen Keller

Patent number: 10980350Abstract: The device for changing a pillowcase is configured for use with a pillow. The device for changing a pillowcase is configured for use with a pillow case. The device for changing a pillowcase inserts the pillow into the pillow case. Specifically, the device for changing a pillowcase is an openwork structure within which the pillow is contained. Once the pillow is contained within the openwork structure, the openwork structure is inserted into the pillowcase. The openwork structure is opened releasing the pillow after which the openwork structure is withdrawn from the pillowcase. The device for changing a pillowcase comprises the openwork structure, a plurality of hinges, and a handle. The plurality of hinges and the handle are attached to the open work structure. The plurality of hinges open and close the openwork structure.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2017Date of Patent: April 20, 2021Inventor: Joyce Hutchings

Patent number: 10178920Abstract: A pillowcase changing device for facilitating the changing of pillowcases includes a pair of grabbers. Each grabber comprises a frame. A field is coupled to and extends between an inner perimeter of the frame. A plurality of tines and a handle are coupled to and extend from an outer perimeter of the frame. The handle is positioned on the frame such that the handle is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user. The pair of grabbers is configured to position singly adjacent to a top face and a bottom face of a pillow. The handles are positioned on the frames such that the handles are positioned to motivate the frames into a substantially closed configuration. The pillow is compressed between the pair of grabbers such that respective tines are interlockingly positioned. The pillow is insertable into and extractable from a pillowcase.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2016Date of Patent: January 15, 2019Inventor: Vandana Verma

Patent number: 9833082Abstract: A pillow dressing system includes a pillow case that has an open end. A pillow is provided and the pillow is selectively positioned within the pillow case. A panel is provided and the panel is selectively manipulated. The pillow is selectively positioned on the panel and the panel is selectively urged into the open end of the pillow case. In this way the pillow is selectively positioned within the pillow case. The panel is removed from the pillow case when the pillow is positioned within the pillow case.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2017Date of Patent: December 5, 2017Inventor: Loretta M. Rutkowski

Patent number: 9713390Abstract: An insertion device facilitates the insertion of a compressible pillow into a flexible pillowcase. A left edge of a resilient sheet includes a compression handle stem projecting away therefrom and terminating at a first compression handle. A right edge of the sheet includes a second compression handle projecting away therefrom. The sheet further includes a horizontal slot traversing therethrough, the slot sharing a common longitudinal axis with the compression handle stem. The resilient sheet when curved around itself, with the compression handle and the compression handle stem traversing the horizontal slot, form an enclosure into which the pillow is inserted. The compression handle is pulled away from the second compression handle to constrict the pillow, which, with the enclosure, is then easily inserted into the pillowcase.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2015Date of Patent: July 25, 2017Inventor: Don Charters

Patent number: 8607382Abstract: Apparatus and method for holding a pillow on an upwardly extending end of a mattress having a single sheet of material having a upper end and a lower end along with a first side and a second side having an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower end is folded back upon itself to form an enclosure so that the upper surfaces of the folded section are adjacent to each other having a pillow disposed in the enclosure. The upper end is wrapped around the upwardly extended end of the mattress, using straps to hold the upper end in place.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2012Date of Patent: December 17, 2013Inventor: William N Cohron, III

Patent number: 7971294Abstract: Method for changing a pillow in a pillowcase includes providing two members unattached to one another and each having opposed smooth surfaces, inserting the members at least partially into the pillowcase containing a pillow such that the members are each between a respective side of the pillow and an adjacent side of the pillowcase, and then causing relative movement between the pillowcase and the members until the pillow is at least partially outside of the pillowcase. Thereafter, the pillow is grasped and withdrawn from between the members and then without removing the members from the pillowcase, a new pillow is inserted between the members. Then, the individual causes relative movement between the pillowcase and the members until the new pillow is inside of the pillowcase; and withdraws the members from the pillowcase.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2009Date of Patent: July 5, 2011Inventor: Victor J. Patent number: 7958580Abstract: An apparatus and method for aiding the insertion of a pillow into a pillowcase. The apparatus or device is flexible and lays flat in a neutral condition. After the pillow is placed onto the device, the device is wrapped around the pillow to compress the pillow, and edges of the device are engaged with one another to maintain the pillow in a compressed condition. The device and compressed pillow are slid into a pillowcase, or the pillowcase is slid over the device and compressed pillow, and the device is then slid outwardly from the pillowcase, allowing the pillow to expand and fill the pillowcase. Optionally, the edges of the device may first be disengaged to allow expansion of the pillow to fill the pillowcase prior to sliding the device outwardly from the pillowcase.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2008Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Inventor: Nancy A. Zorger

Patent number: 7007324Abstract: A method and device that provides an easily repeatable way in which to insert pillows into pillowcases. A flexible relatively thin sheet of material is provided that is sized and configured so as to attain a generally U-shaped configuration for insertion into a pillowcase, thereby creating a three-dimensional cavity through which a pillow can be inserted. The device can then be easily extracted from the pillowcase by merely sliding it out once the pillow is in place.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2004Date of Patent: March 7, 2006Inventor: Brad Blessman
