Abstract: An under-bed storage unit is disclosed in which a freestanding structure is disposed under a bed frame and bears a generally circular platform thereon. The platform has a cut edge configured to be flush with the margin of the bedframe so that when the platform is not in use, it does not extend beyond the bed frame and is therefore out of the way. However, upon rotation, the arc of the circular platform is exposed and the stored contents of the platform are visible and accessible. The platform is rotated until the desired stored item is located and is then returned to its stored position. A number of variations of under-bed storage units utilizing freestanding supports, platforms of various sizes and shapes, structural and aesthetic platform feature, and associated support structures are also disclosed.

The bed frame comprises at least a torso frame and a foot frame where the foot frame folds and unfolds with the torso frame to place the convertible sofa in the sofa configuration (folds) or the sleeping configuration (unfolds). The bed frame has at least one solid deck coupled to the torso frame of the bed frame.

The apparatus frame assembly (10) includes rails (12), (14), (16), (18), (20), (46), (48), (50), (52) having cross-sections of standard surgical rails, for attachment of slidable rail clamps (84), (104). Medical device mounts (108), (110), (112) are attached to the slidable rail clamps. The medical device mounts have height and/or rotational adjustment to improve patient access and view. The apparatus may be mounted longitudinally anywhere along the litter to maximize access to the patient.

Abstract: A multifunctional tray includes a portable tray housing that defines a beverage receptacle. The beverage receptacle can be selectively heated by a thermal element mounted within the tray housing. A control panel mounted to the tray housing can be used to control the heating function of the thermal element by selectively energizing the thermal element with a power source. Optionally, the tray is selectively attachable to a personal mobility device via a pair of attachment elements mounted at opposing ends of the tray housing. The tray may also include wireless connectivity capabilities that allow a user to play music and other audio entertainment from a portable electronic device through a speaker that is mounted to the tray housing.

Abstract: A walker caddy device for carrying items while using a walker and lighting a path in front of a user of the walker includes a caddy defining an interior space and having a support clip coupled to a back wall of the caddy. The support clip is configured to couple to an upper cross member of a walker with the caddy being supported by a lower cross member of the walker. The caddy has a light source coupled to a front wall powered by a power module for selectively lighting an area in front of the walker.

Abstract: An apparatus that is configured to assist a helper to move a seated person from a first, seated position to a second, standing position, includes a lifting/assisting device, the lifting/assisting device being comprised of: a rigid elongated member, the elongated member having a longitudinal axis, a first proximal end and a second distal end, the first proximal end being adapted for being positioned on a floor; an offset section, the offset section being offset from the longitudinal axis a distance X and being located along the elongated member between the first proximal end and the second distal end; and, a lateral grasping member for the person, the grasping member being positioned distally of the offset section; a second offset member, the second offset member being of a dimension to approximately match the first offset section; and, a grab member positioned distally of the second offset member for use by the helper.

Abstract: A storage device for installation on a bed includes a horizontal support member configured to be inserted between two mattress members. A vertical support member is coupled with and supported by the horizontal support member. A plurality of securing members are coupled to the vertical support member. A flexible storage member is fixedly secured to the plurality of securing members at a first edge and selectively attached to the plurality of securing members at a second edge. The flexible storage member is operable between a stowed position and a use position. The stowed position is defined by the flexible storage member being at least partially concealed from view. The use position is defined by the flexible storage member forming an interior storage space that is contained within the flexible storage member and supported by the plurality of securing members.

Abstract: A bed step stool for assisting a user into and out of bed comprises a first support to be disposed closer to a head of the bed; a second support to be disposed closer to a foot of the bed; a step assembly supported between the first support and the second support; a ramp coupled to the step assembly; the step assembly to enable the user to step thereon for assisting the user into and out of the bed, wherein the first support and the second support define an unobstructed pathway for entry and exit with respect to the bed and the bed step stool that is perpendicular with respect to the sides of the bed whereby the user goes between the first support and the second support, up the ramp, onto the step assembly, and off the step assembly without any obstruction.

Abstract: The pet bed and step system has multiple components that may be used separately or in combination to provide a raised pet bed having steps or stairs leading to the pet bed. The pet bed and step system includes a foldable base that may be used by itself as a pet bed, or with the rear portion folded up to form a two-step assembly. Abstract: A patient support system including a frame having first and second portions, at least one of them movable with respect to the other to transition the frame between a first configuration and a second configuration. A first port is coupled to the first portion of the frame, and a second port disposed with the second portion of the frame, such that a distance between the first port and the second port changes when the frame transitions between the first and second configurations. A fluid conduit is arranged between the first port and the second port and configured to transition between a first length and a second length, longer than the first length, when the frame is transitioned between the first and second configurations. The fluid conduit is configured with a resiliency to naturally return toward the first length. A method of using a patient support system is also included.

Abstract: A firearm steady rest includes a tree stand unit and a universal steady rest unit. The tree stand unit has a tubular stand mount and U-bolts to secure the tree stand unit to a tree stand. A bottom slide is slidably received within the tubular stand mount while a tubular rest mount is pivotally connected to the bottom slide. A stand clamp secures the bottom slide within the tubular stand mount while a rest clamp secures the universal steady rest unit within the tubular rest mount. The universal steady rest unit includes a steady mount having a circular post region proportioned to rotate within the tubular rest mount. A steady rest is pivotally coupled to the steady mount via a pivot plate. A tubular extension member may also be included. The firearm steady rest may fold into a bundle measuring less than 4 inches by 4 inches by 28 inches.

Abstract: A device for securing a mattress and foundation so that they stay in alignment during use. The device includes a pair of cups to engage a corner of a mattress lying on an underlying foundation. One cup engages the mattress and the other the foundation. A hinge region connects the two cups such that the mattress and foundation remain aligned. The device can further include fasteners to secure the cups to the mattress and foundation.

Abstract: A robot includes a tractor, a walker, an input device, and a controller. The tractor includes a connector and pulls a user through the connector. The walker includes wheels for moving the tractor and one or more brakes for the wheels and is coupled to the tractor. The input device receives an instruction to operate at least one of the tractor and the walker. In response to reception of the instruction by the input device, the controller determines whether or not to permit the tractor and/or the walker to perform a process based on the instruction, in accordance with a current state of the robot, the current state being one of a plurality of states of the robot. Each state is represented by using values of items, one of the items being an item indicating whether or not the one or more brakes are applied to the wheels.

Another insert having an asymmetrical opening may accommodate the patient's arm when it is desirable to position both the arm and breast of the patient below the table top. The table top is contoured such that symmetrical distal end sections are elevated relative to a central section to support the patient in multiple positions. A removable pad may be placed over the insert. An end portion for padding the hip of the patient is thicker than an end portion for padding the head/neck of the patient.

The disposition of the retention member between the opposed surfaces results in a retention force, typically a friction force, to resist sliding movement of the device across a floor surface on which the device is supported. The retention member may be a rigid panel or a flexible sheet. The base and step or steps may comprise a folding staircase linkage or a rigid, unitary housing including a storage compartment.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an adjustable hitch assembly for coupling a towed vehicle with a towing vehicle. An embodiment of the adjustable hitch assembly may include a base member, a ball support member, and a hitch ball member. The base member may include a connecting portion and a shank member, wherein the shank member may extends perpendicularly away from the connecting portion. The ball support member may include a support rod extending perpendicularly away from the shank member. The ball support member may also include an opening there though that may be attached to the shank member. The hitch ball member may be attached to the support rod, wherein the hitch ball member may have at least one accessory aperture. The connecting portion may be attached to the towing vehicle and the hitch ball member may be attached to the towed vehicle.

A bed, a mattress, a bedding covering or the like is provided on the base member such that a user can watch a screen of the display device in a posture where the user has lain above the base member.

Abstract: Described herein is a support for a Constant Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine. The support comprises a table for supporting the CPAP with portion extended between the mattresses of the bed, and a stabilizer extending downward from the bottom of the table surface to brace against the lower mattress. The table may be foldable for travel purposes. The table also comprises a hook for securing the power cord, and a raised lip around the edge of the table top to prevent accidentally knocking the device from the table surface. A hook extending from one side of the table top provided a convenient place to store a CPAP mask between uses.

The adapter board includes a slot formed in the adapter board and a strap extending through the slot. The adapter board has a first side including a first coupler. The first coupler is configured to engage a coupler of the surgical table and the strap is configured to wrap around at least a portion of the surgical table. The rail assembly extends beyond an edge of the adapter board and is operable to couple to a patient support.

Abstract: Bed cover holders having first sections that slide under and between a mattress and a box spring and second sections including upturned ends that are slidably secured to the first sections permitting the holder to telescope between extended and retracted positions are described. The upturned ends of the holders are positioned flush against the end of the mattress when retracted. The holders can be extended to form a shelf where bedding including pillows can be placed when the bed is in use. In at least one variation, the first and second sections comprise nesting tubular structures to facilitate the telescoping arrangement.

A first clamp assembly which removably attaches to the operating table is mounted on one or more horizontal adjustment rods which are slidably received in one of the main plate in order to provide adjustability to the width of the adapter plate assembly. On the opposing end of the main plate, a second clamp assembly is coupled main plate. In order to secure the support assembly of a robotic instrument system, an adapter rail is also coupled to the main plate.

The emergency response beds may include a frame having a pair of opposing tubular stainless steel side supports and a pair of opposing tubular stainless steel end supports. The side supports and end supports are affixed each to the other by corner fixtures. A plurality of collapsible support legs are affixed to the frame. The support legs have an upper end and a lower end, and are adapted to support the frame above a selected substrate. A support deck is coupled to the frame. The support deck is adapted to support a patient body, and is provided with a liquid impervious, molded thermoplastic contaminant resistant cleanable surface. The support deck also has, above at least some of the support legs, a cutout portion defined by edgewalls, to provide access through the support deck to the support legs, so that multiple beds may be stacked one above the other, using support inserts between vertically adjacent support legs.

Abstract: An adjustable height lift platform for a surgeon to stand on while he or she performs a surgical procedure that is comfortably and beneficially performed at a desired height. The lift platform comprises a base platform having a lower surface that rests on the floor, an upper platform having an upper surface on which the surgeon stands and a lifting mechanism that interconnects the base and upper platforms to raise and lower the upper platform. The lifting mechanism has a first linkage assembly pivotally connected to a second linkage assembly, slotted tracks at each of the base and upper platforms, cam followers associated with the linkage assemblies that are received in the slotted tracks and linear actuators that engage the linkage assemblies to pivot them in a scissor-like manner to raise and lower the upper platform. Preferably, a foot operated switch controls the movement and positioning of the upper platform.

Read-write box (64) secured on to read write holders (58) has a compartment with light for holding a book in open position. It can be positioned and locked at a convenient reading angle. The position of the laptop and the read/write box can be rearranged independently.

In the inventive method there is provision for the at least one step initially to be extended and/or folded down, then for a beginning of the examination to be automatically determined and finally for the at least one step to be retracted and/or folded up again, depending on the determination of the beginning of an examination.
