Abstract: A system includes a rigid housing and flexible tubes. The rigid housing includes cable receptacles. Each cable receptacle has a distal end and a longitudinal opening configured to accept a cable. The flexible tubes are configured to accept cables and orient the cables in a customizable, organized manner. Each flexible tube is secured to a respective cable receptacle at the distal end and has a longitudinal opening oriented to align with the longitudinal opening of the respective cable receptacle. Another system includes a vertical stand structure configured to maneuver about a floor and a deformable trough secured to the vertical stand structure. The deformable trough is configured to initially bend in a customizable manner to form a customized configuration and subsequently maintain the customized configuration to facilitate placement of the cables within the deformable trough and provide for mobility of the vertical stand structure.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus, such as a hospital bed, includes an alert light assembly or an alert light module having separate zones that are individually illuminated to convey information regarding respective alert conditions. The zones each have indicia related to a particular condition of the patient support apparatus. The illuminated zones are each sufficiently large so as to be seen from afar, such as on the order of ten feet or more. Alternatively or additionally, a GUI of the patient support apparatus displays alert indicia as part of a screen saver. Further alternatively or additionally, the patient support apparatus illuminates an alert light in a manner indicating an optimal time for taking a patient's vital signs.

Abstract: A mattress system with at least two inflatable bladders located within a tub compartment of a foam encasement is enclosed. The bladders are surrounded on all sides by foam layers and the bladders are inflated and deflated by a control unit. The control unit is positioned within the tub compartment near the foot of the mattress and centered between the two bladder assemblies. The control unit is adhered to the foam encasement.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for monitoring and treating a patient on route to a medical facility are disclosed. The system comprises a critical care unit; at least one patient monitoring device coupled to the critical care unit, wherein the critical care unit obtains physiological data about the patient from each patient monitoring device; at least one patient treatment device coupled to the critical care unit, wherein the critical care unit provides treatment instructions to each patient treatment device; a two way communications device coupled to the critical care unit; and a remote communications terminal in communication with the two way communications device. The critical care unit preferably sends the physiological data to the remote communications terminal and receives the treatment instructions from the remote communications terminal via the two way communications device.

Abstract: A headboard pouch that provides easy access to reading materials and eliminates clutter from nightstands is provided. The pouch includes first and second holders, with the second holder attached to an exterior surface of the first holder. The first holder is larger than the second holder, and the first holder is intended to receive and hold reading materials, while the second holder is intended to receive and hold smartphones or like devices. The pouch includes an attachment means that releasably secures the pouch to a headboard. The pouch also includes a light attached to an articulated arm extending from a battery and power module attached to the first holder to allow the light to be manipulated into a desired angle or position. The pouch may also include a charging port in the battery and power module to allow for smartphones or like devices to be charged.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus for concurrently transporting a patient and a medical device includes a base and an intermediate frame coupled to the base and further includes a support assembly coupled to the intermediate frame. The support assembly supports the medical device for concurrent movement with the patient support apparatus. The support assembly includes a track extending between first and second track ends with at least one curvilinear region defined therebetween and includes a carrier for selective movement between the ends. The support assembly also includes a mount coupled to the track and configured to support the medical advice. The support assembly further includes a retainer operatively attached to the carrier with the carrier operable between an engaged state to inhibit relative movement of the carrier along the track and a disengaged state to permit movement of the carrier along the track.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for detecting a position of an object with a robot surgical system having an articulable, separable camera stand. The surgical robot system may include a robot having a robot base with a robot arm and an end-effector coupled to the robot arm. The end-effector, surgical instruments, the patient, other objects, or any combination thereof, may be tracked via active and/or passive tracking markers. A camera, such as an infrared camera, a bifocal camera or a stereophotogrammetric infrared camera, is mounted on a separable camera stand and is able to detect the tracking markers when in use. Using the camera, the robot determines a position of the object from the tracking markers, which may be a three-dimensional position of the object or the markers. When convenient, the camera base may be assembled into the robot base, e.g., by sliding the camera base into the robot.

The outer facing enclosure is formed of an outer facing side of a support surface enclosed by first and second end walls and first and second side walls extending about the outer facing side of the support surface. Abstract: This present invention relates to a firearm storage system comprised of a headboard cabinet for concealing firearms, ammunition and other items of value. Portions of the firearm storage system are quickly and securely repositionable between a concealed position and an open position, thereby giving the user quick access to his or her firearms in a time of need. More specifically, the secure headboard or cabinet includes an electronic lift that may be controlled by a wireless activator that raises a concealed portion of the cabinet upwards, thereby revealing the drawers or cabinets containing the firearms.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus comprises a support structure, an articulation system, and a headboard assembly. The support structure comprises a head end, a foot end, a base, and a patient support deck to support a patient between the head end and the foot end. The patient support deck comprises a first section and a second section capable of articulating relative to the first section. The articulation system articulates the second section relative to the first section. The headboard assembly is coupled to the second section to be arranged adjacent to a head of the patient lying on the patient support deck. At least a portion of the headboard assembly articulates with the second section when the second section articulates relative to the first section. The headboard assembly comprises one or more environment controls operable to alter an environment of the patient on the patient support deck.

The patient support apparatus comprises a base, a litter with a patient support deck for supporting the patient, and a side rail. The side rail is coupled to the litter and arranged for movement relative to the base. The side rail includes a caddy comprising a back, a first brace, and a second brace spaced from the first brace. The first brace extends laterally from the back and defines a first bottom support region. The second brace extends laterally from the back and defines a second bottom support region converging toward the first bottom support region to arrange the first and second bottom support regions to provide differing points of contact for retaining differently-sized portable electronic devices.

Abstract: An access control unit having a novel structure and arrangement, including a first layer comprising an electrostimulation contact interface, a second layer including a biometric sensor coupled to the electrostimulation contact interface, and a third layer including a microprocessor unit in communication with the electrostimulation contact interface. The second layer is sandwiched between the first layer and the third layer. The electrostimulation contact interface comprises one or more anode/cathode arrays configured to deliver neurostimulative excitations to the electrostimulation contact interface to elicit behavior modification.

Abstract: A device for selectively connecting mobile medical equipment, such as an IV pole, to a patient transport platform such that the medical equipment and patient transport platform can move together, thus providing a patient mobility while maintaining the patient's connection to the mobile medical equipment and therefore eliminating the necessity to disconnect an existing medical equipment (such as IV pole) and transfer the patient to a new medical equipment, while also allowing monitoring of patient movement and activity via electronics in the device.

Abstract: A medical equipment mounting system for an I.V. pole including an arm having an adjustable clamp on the distal end, and a mounting plate. The mounting plate is welded to the side of a hospital bed. Furthermore, the proximal end of the arm is attached to the mounting plate. In one embodiment, the clamp is a U-shaped clamp having a security screw disposed along its opening. The security screw allows for the I.V. pole to be safely secured to the clamp and prevents the detachment of pole when a hospital patient bed is being transported or maneuvered.

Abstract: A rapid access firearm safe having a rigid body with a secure interior storage compartment and a door for accessing a firearm. The door is hingedly attached to the lower portion of the body such that the door swings open from an upper portion of the body, and a firearm retaining mechanism is located on the interior side of the door and releasably holds at least one firearm thereto. A locking mechanism is integrated into the upper portion of the safe body and accessible from the exterior, and the locking mechanism selectively holds the door firmly against the body thereby securely enclosing the interior storage compartment and releases the door from the body upon deactivation by receiving user input.

Abstract: A chair add-on, leg support, leg support system, method for retrofitting a chair is described herein. The leg support system is preferably, but not necessarily, easy to use, store, reposition, and/or operate by users of all ages. The leg support system preferably may be constructed directly with a chair. Alternatively, the leg support system may, but does not necessarily, include a remote selectable control.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, recliner, operating table, stretcher, or the like, includes a control panel with multiple controls for controlling functions of the patient support apparatus. A control system disables at least a first control and changes an illumination state of a backlight when the patient support apparatus is in a particular state. In some embodiments, the particular state is the arming of an exit detection system and/or the deactivation of a brake on the patient support apparatus. The particular state may also or alternatively be tied to a particular mode of the patient support apparatus, such as a diagnostic mode, a maintenance mode, and/or a normal mode. The control system may also never illuminate a first icon on the patient support apparatus if it was initially configured in a particular manner, such as being intended for sale in a particular geographic market.

Abstract: A hanger assembly for hanging objects from a post is disclosed having a pole having an upper end section configured to support an object, and a lower end section configured to extend through a hollow shaft of the post. The hanger assembly comprises an upper stabilization device having a pole receiving aperture for coupling to the pole, and at least one post support member interfaceable to a top portion of the post to support the pole. The hanger assembly includes a lower stabilization device having a pole attachment portion for coupling to the lower end section of the pole. The lower stabilization device can have a vertical profile or outer planar surface adapted to interface an inner surface of the post to laterally stabilize the lower end section of the pole to restrict lateral movement of the lower stabilization device and the pole. Associated fence systems and methods for installing the hanger assembly are disclosed.

Abstract: A storage device for providing storage space for personal items such as notebook computers, cell phones, cash and anything of value that a user wishes to keep safe. The storage device includes a container structure having a door portion pivotally mounted so as to rotate from a closed, vertical position to an open, horizontal position and a leg element having a first portion attached to the container structure and a second portion oriented at generally right angles to the first leg portion. In use, the storage device of the present invention is mounted over the foot of a bed by the leg portions that are not attached to the container structure so as to extend under the mattress. In this manner the storage device affords a storage space without detracting from available floor space and without wall mounting. The top of the storage device of the present invention can serve as a night stand given its proximity to the bed, again without necessitating reduction is overall available floor space.

Abstract: A multifunctional nursing bed for excretion includes a bed frame, a board, two elevation devices, an excretion device, a washing device, an anti-splash device, a cover device, and a control device electrically connected to the mentioned devices for operation. When a user has a need for excretion, the control device turns on the elevation devices to elevate the board and the cover device is elevated and opened. Then descending the board and pressing the cover device for descending as well, for the anti-splash device to be elevated and ready for use, whereby the user is able to perform excretion directly on the nursing bed without any help from others.

Abstract: A reconfigurable accessory frame for use with an infant crib having a perimeter similarly sized to that of the top of the crib frame upon which it is used. The frame is foldable about an asymmetrically positioned transverse axis into one of the two positions. In the first position, the frame extends to substantially cover the open perimeter of the crib disposed underneath. Soft goods supported from the frame define a generally level surface that is convenient for changing an infant diaper along with a storage compartment disposed at one end. The level changing surface encompasses a majority of the area encompassed by the frame. In the second position, the frame is folded so that the end portion opposite of the storage compartment is moved into a positon adjacently above the remainder of the changing table surface.

Abstract: A control panel of a sickbed having a light source is disposed around a sickbed and includes a casing, a light module and a control module. The light module and the control module are provided on two opposite surfaces of the casing respectively. The control module is electrically connected to the light module for controlling the height of the sickbed and an ON/OFF state of the light module. The control panel of the present invention is used to adjust the height of the sickbed and also provides illumination, so that it really demonstrates practicability and convenience.

Abstract: A caddy for use with hospital staff or patients provides a rigid housing having a carriage with at least one vertically and, preferably, at least one horizontally accessible compartments. The housing provides a semi-circular opening above the carriage to act as a handle while also, for many embodiments, a back to which a pivot connects to a connector which connects to a hospital bed rail to maintain the caddy in a pre-determined relationship while the rail is angled relative to a horizontal surface.

Abstract: A connector system includes at least one mattress connector that is coupled to a mattress. The mattress connectors are coupled at the head end and at the foot end of the mattress. A topper connector is coupled to a topper at a head end and a foot end of the topper. A plurality of straps are employed to couple the mattress to the topper, with the straps being coupled to the mattress connectors and the proper connectors.

Abstract: A rapid-access weapon safe comprising a lock box having a bottom, three sides, and a lower front panel defining an opening adapted to receive a user's hand into a chamber and at least one weapon; a weapon support in the chamber for supporting the weapon's position where a user's hand easily grasp the weapon and for protecting a weapon stored in the chamber; quick-access doors having at least two doors sealing the opening, a lock securing the doors, and a spring adapted to rapidly open the doors when the lock is opened; and a mounting bracket adapted to affix the safe onto a desired location; whereby, the safe can be mounted in a desired location, the safe doors quickly deploy when the user opens the safe, allowing an authorized user quick access to the weapon inside while preventing unauthorized access when the safe is closed and locked.

Abstract: The tactical stretcher and convertible first aid table with detachable IV pole includes a small and lightweight stretcher that is manually lifted with two sets of handles located at distal ends of the stretcher. The stretcher includes a plurality of straps to secure and immobilize a patient lying on the top surface of the stretcher. Two pairs of foldable legs rotate downwardly from a bottom surface to convert the stretcher to a first aid table. The foldable legs are limited to 90 degrees range of rotational movement from a horizontal position to a vertical position. An IV holder accessory is optionally provided, and secures itself to one of the handles. The IV holder includes a telescoping construction in order to adjust the elevation of an IV bag with respect to the stretcher.

Abstract: A mounting device which provides a pivotal interface for emergency equipment and a method of attaching the emergency equipment to a rescue transport, e.g., a foot of a litter, are disclosed. For example, the mounting device is releasably attachable to the litter and includes a fastening device operably attached to a mounting structure of the device. The mounting structure includes a tilt plate capable of pivoting. The mounting device also includes an adapter capable of securely mating with the tilt plate, providing a pivotal interface for the attachment of the emergency equipment thereto.

Abstract: A system and method for storing mobility devices adjacent to a bed-frame. The apparatus comprising a planar surface, located between a mattress and a supporting structure, and at least one handle for receiving the mobility device. The apparatus' planar surface, handles, and method of fastenings are all able to be customized based upon the desired features, including: size, weight, luminosity, ease of sterilization, and dimensions of the intended mobility device.

Abstract: A medical table and clamp apparatus provides a medical table having sides and at least one rail extending along a side. A clamp travels along the rail, the clamp having a clamp body which has a pair of spaced apart appendages with a recess therebetween. An internally threaded sleeve extends through the body and has an end portion that communicates with the recess. An externally threaded shaft threadably engages the sleeve. A bearing is mounted on one end of the shaft. A pusher/pressure plate is mounted on the bearing with a pivotal, articulating or ball and socket connection and has a concave surface that grips curved structures. The pusher plate is supported within the recess. The pusher plate is movable toward or away from the sleeve. An insert is connectable to the pressure/pusher plate and presents a flat surface to an implement that is to be clamped.

Abstract: A bedside storage caddy includes a flexible panel attached to a rigid backplate, as well as a first flexible strap and a second flexible strap from which the flexible panel is suspended. Positioned on the flexible panel are a plurality of guide rings and a plurality of pockets. The plurality of pockets, formed from a base, a pocket wall, an interior lip, an upper lip, and an opening, allowing the bedside storage caddy to hold personal items, such as cell phones and glasses. The interior lip and the upper lip prevent these items from accidently slipping out of the pocket. The first flexible strap and the second flexible strap each have a plurality of eyelets and a stud, positioned on opposite ends of a strap body. The stud engages with an arbitrary eyelet, allowing the straps to be secured around the railing of a hospital bed.

The system has a mounting member with a generally planar bed securing member and a generally planar storage securing member. The system has a storage member with a large storage cavity and a small storage cavity. The small storage cavity is located on the large storage cavity. For use, the mounting member is pivoted fully open to about a ninety degree angle. The bed securing member is fully inserted in between a mattress unit bottom surface and a box springs unit top surface. The back surface of the storage securing member is located flush against the mattress unit. The first large storage cavity side is located flush against the front surface of the storage securing member and held securely into place via the securing slots and the securing extensions.

Abstract: A portable container having a horizontal platform supporting one or more pouches, pockets and bins wherein a portion of said horizontal platform configured to slide between a mattress and box-spring (or second mattress) which anchors the one or more pouches, pockets or bins proximate the bed. The one or more pouches, pockets or bins allow bedside utilities to be conveniently placed in said one or more pouches, pockets or bins proximate the bed.
