Abstract: A collapsible enclosure for restraining a patient to an area about a bed comprises a frame having a horizontal eave portion, a horizontal base portion opposing the horizontal eave portion, and at least two vertical members upstanding from the horizontal base portion for supporting the horizontal eave portion. The frame collapses as an integral unit for storage and transfer. A canopy secured to the frame defines an area about a bed such that a patient is allowed to move freely within the area. The canopy includes see-through portions defined by dark colored mesh to enhance visibility therethrough and prevent glare. In one embodiment, the canopy includes a hermetically sealable chamber defining the patient area for quarantining the patient therein.

Abstract: A frame structure for a foldable children play-yard adaptable to include a curve side rail to form at least a portion of its upper perimeter. The frame structure comprises a plurality of support members, an upper frame member and a lower frame member. The upper frame member is constructed of a plurality of side segments, which define the upper perimeter of the play-yard and comprise rail members, which can include a curve portion. The rail members are coupled in a rotatable relationship disposed between the adjacent support members. The side segments have opposite distal end portions in engagement with support brackets mounted on the support members, the support brackets are adaptable to affix the side segment when the play-yard is in the open configuration and to permit the side segments to move in more than a single degree of freedom (for example, translational, axial-rotational movement and swivel movements) when the play-yard is being folded.

Abstract: A foldable baby crib includes a top frame unit, a bottom frame unit, a plurality of support rods, each of which has a top end segment connected to the top frame unit, and a bottom end segment opposite to the top end segment, and a plurality of foot members, each of which is connected fixedly to the bottom frame unit and is connected pivotally to the bottom end segment of a respective one of the support rods.

Abstract: A collapsible infant travel bed includes four hoops, preferably all the same or similar size. One hoop is placed on the bottom and is connected to two side hoops and one hoop is connected to the tops of the side hoops. The side hoops are preferably covered with a see-through mesh fabric. The short ends at the head and the foot of the bed may be provided with mesh or opaque fabric, but it is preferred that at least the head be see-through mesh. A removable mattress is placed in the bed and one or more side cushions are arranged above the mattress. The bed is easily collapsed by pressing one of the side hoops toward the bottom hoop and then the other side hoop. A carrying case is provided for storing and carrying the collapsed bed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a flexible door for use in enclosing a protected area, thus limiting ingress or egress. The invention includes a tracking system for accommodating the door from above and below and has both top and bottom portions. Also a bendable portion that is engageable with both the top and bottom portions of the tracking system is provided. Further, mesh faces can be attached to the bendable portions for the door and can be engageable with the strip-like portions.

Abstract: A playpen includes a plurality of support bars, a bed cushion, and a fixing device to fix the bed cushion on the support bars. Thus, the snapping plate of each of the holders of the fixing device is locked on the respective positioning seat, and the sleeve of each of the holders of the fixing device is locked on the respective support bar by the locking, so that each of the holders is positioned on the respective positioning seat and the respective support bar so as to support the bed cushion rigidly and stably, thereby preventing the bed cushion from becoming loosened or detached from the playpen.

A side face of the baby play yard is provided with an opening, so that it is convenient for a user to take out the articles received in the accommodating space. As a result, when necessary, the user just squats down, opens the opening on the side face, and thus can take out the articles very easily.

A fabric member comprised of sidewalls and a skirt is draped over the frame. The apparatus may be placed against one side of an adult bed for easy access by a parent. The bedside sleeper is secured to the parents' bed with safety straps. One sidewall may be lowered to facilitate access to an infant by removal of a removably mounted sidewall/skirt supporting rod. The apparatus is adjustable in height to align the bedside sleeper with the parents' bed and when used as a changing table to accommodate for differences in the height of the parent. The bassinet is provided with a removable, adjustable hood for shielding light from the baby's eyes.

The bassinet can be transformed from an erected position wherein a floor of the bassinet is substantially horizontal to ground, and elevated therefrom by a stand, to a folded position wherein the bassinet is compacted into a relatively small size. Using a uni-directional hinge in the floor of the bassinet, and a plurality of over-center locks, the floor of the bassinet can be locked into the horizontal position easily and effectively, without any structure provided directly below the center of the bassinet floor.

Abstract: A toy storage cover for a portable play yard includes four outer panels shaped to surround the outer walls of the play yard attached at their top edges to four inner panels shaped to line the play yard. A floor panel joins the inner panels and is secured to the floor of the play yard by a mattress pad shaped to fit within the inner panels above the floor of the play yard. A series of pockets are attached to the outer panels of the cover. The pockets have smaller pockets within them or on their outer surfaces. Tie-down straps, fitted foot pockets or attachments through the play yard walls are used to secure the cover to the play yard. The toy storage cover may be adapted to play yards of various designs, cribs or other open topped containers.

The co-sleeper is secured at one side of a parental bed with the co-sleeper mattress positioned a short distance below the level of the mattress of the parental bed. The front wall of the invention is placed in the second, lowered position for use as a co-sleeper or changing table and positioned at the upper level when the invention is used as a play yard or bassinet. The front wall has a fixed lower portion and a raisable upper portion.

Abstract: A playyard floor support frame includes a lock hub arranged to lie under a playyard floor, first and second floor support rails arranged to be mounted for movement in rail-receiving channels formed in the lock hub, and a base for receiving and elevating the lock hub above ground underlying the base. The frame further includes a lock controller mounted on the lock hub and configured to move the first and second floor support rails (at the option of a user) toward one another to establish a “locked” position of the frame and away from one another to establish an “unlocked” position of the frame.

Abstract: A safety device for a foldable baby bed has a pivotal block fitted to one of pivotally connected base rods of the bed, and a locking member fitted to another of the base rods. A tube is pivoted to the pivotal block at a first end; the tube has a down facing cavity at a second end. The tube is movably passed through the locking member from the second end so that the cavity can fit onto a protrusion of the locking member when the bed is stretched to an in-use position where the base rods are positioned substantially on a plane; thus, the safety device prevents folding of the bed caused by unexpected force. The cavity is disengaged from the protrusion for allowing displacement of the base rods by means of lifting the second end of the tube.

Abstract: An improvement on a base of a baby bed has a locking plate having a central elongated hole, and two locking holes at two ends. The locking plate can be moved up and down for unlocking and locking the base. The locking holes retain respective engaging pins, with which lower support rods of the base are associated, when the locking plate is in the locking position. Owing to increased length of the elongated hole, the locking plate can slide lengthwise besides moving up and down. Therefore, in case one of the locking holes fails to disengage its corresponding engaging pin completely when the locking plate is moved to allow folding operation of the baby bed, the engaging pin still can be disengaged from the locking hole automatically on the course of exerting force on the lower support rods to fold the bed.

A strapping member is provided to hold the co-sleeper to the parental bed. A number of variations of this strapping member are provided. Several styles of support members for the enclosure are provided.

Therefore, the parent is able to accommodate his baby in the bassinet that is selectively supported on the playpen at home and carried everywhere.

Abstract: A playard includes a leg, a flexible side panel, and a corner panel. The flexible side panel hugs against the leg so that the flexible side panel forms first and second side panel portions extending at an angle relative to each other about the leg to form a corner of the playard. The corner panel attaches to the inner sides of the angled first and second side panel portions. The corner panel is spaced from and covers the leg. In one embodiment, the corner panel comprises a flexible sheet stretched between the angled first and second side panel portions. In addition, the corner panel and portions of the first and side panel portions can form a corner pocket that hides the leg therein. The legs can be straight or bowed inwardly or bowed outwardly.

The elastic rods are motionless when the playpen is flattened. If rotates the cover clockwise for a certain span, the elastic rods are set free to enable the playpen to be collapsed.

Abstract: A collapsible frame structure for supporting a fabric made boundary shelter to form a pen or cot, wherein the collapsible frame structure includes two pairs of first frame legs and two pairs of second frame legs. Four upper frame joints and four lower frame joints are pivotally connected the first frame legs with the second frame legs respectively to form a box structure that defines an interior cavity within the first and second frame legs. The boundary shelter is suspendedly disposed in the interior cavity and includes four side sheets having four top edge portions and a bottom sheet extended from the side sheets edge to edge wherein each top edge portions of the side sheets are overlappedly folded to form a U-shaped cross sectional structure to define a support chamber for receiving the respective upper frame therein, so as to support said boundary shelter on said collapsible frame.

Abstract: A play yard having a foldable lower frame with a locking joint is disclosed. The locking joint includes a latch that prevents the lower frame section containing the joint from folding unless the latch is intentionally released. The latch is biased into the latch position, but can be intentionally released when the play yard is erected or partially erected to complete folding of the play yard. The latch can be released when the play yard is fully erected or partially folded.

Abstract: A co-sleeper convertibly adapted for use as a changing table is described. The invention includes a collapsible rigid frame designed to support an enclosure at a predetermined height. The enclosure has padded walls and is sized and shaped to fit over the rigid frame. The back, first and second side walls of the enclosure are of a first height above a floor of the enclosure while the front wall is of a lower height. The floor of the enclosure is designed to be slightly lower that the top surface of a parental bed. A mattress pad is sized and shaped to fit within the enclosure and is segmented to use as a containing cover for the co-sleeper when the frame is collapsed. A strapping member is provided to hold the co-sleeper to the parental bed. A number of variations of this strapping member are provided. Several styles of support members for enclosure are provided.
