Abstract: A multifunctional detergent material, useful in laundry and cleaning product compositions, containing functional ingredients including a condensed phosphate material and a silicate material, and optionally other inorganic materials, such as carbonate and sulfate. The condensed phosphate material forms an amorphous phase containing polyphosphates, while the silicate material is present as crystalline particulate. The composition can be used to provide multiple functions for laundry and cleaning products in a single ingredient, including the functions of a builder, a filler, and an alkaline source.

  • Patent number: 6339053
Abstract: An aqueous composition for softening or removing organic coatings comprises: (a) an effective amount of a mixture of (a1) at least one non-toxic compound of formula (I). Wherein R, R1 and R2 which may be the same or different, represent lower alkyl, phenyl or lower alkyl-phenyl groups (e.g. triethlyphosphate) and (a2) at least one non-toxic lower alkyl ester of a C2-20 carboxylic acid or at least one non-toxic C4-12 alkanol (e.g. diethyl succinate, diethyl succinate, diethyl adipate. 1,2,3-propanetriol triacetate, tri-n-butyl citrate, n-octyl acetate or methyl octanoate)(b) an effective amount of at least one surfactant to allow the composition to exist as a stable emulsion. The surfactant(s) being selected nonionic water-soluble block compolymers of more than one alkylene oxide (e.g.

  • Patent number: 5998348
Abstract: An aqueous liquid composition containing dihydrogen phosphate salt, surfactant(s), and a dual coordinate bonding agent for iron cleans soiled metal surfaces without damaging any plastic parts that come into contact with the composition, supporting the growth of bacteria that cause unpleasant odors, or obscuring the transparency of any transparent window that it contacts. The composition is particularly useful for cleaning unpainted aluminum sided rail transport cars that have polycarbonate housings insulating electrical contact points that provide motive electric power to the cars; many conventional aqueous alkaline and acid cleaners promote stress cracking of polycarbonate plastics.
