Abstract: A fungicidal composition and method for the protection of vines against disease are provided. The composition which is applied to vines contains as active material a mixture of 1 part by weight of a monoester salt of a phosphorous acid of the formula ##STR1## in which R is an alkyl radical having 2 to 4 carbon atomsMe is an alkali metal, alkaline earth, or aluminum atomn is a whole number from 1 to 3 equal to the valence of Meand from 0.05 to 8 parts of at least one contact fungicide selected from the group consisting of compounds having a base of copper, the metallic ethylene bisdithiocarbamates, and the derivatives of phthalimide.
Abstract: Compounds having the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is methyl or ethyl; R.sub.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl; R.sub.3 is halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, trifluoromethyl, thio-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl) or phenoxy, and n is 0, 1 or 2; provided that if R.sub.2 is methyl, then R.sub.1 is methyl, are insecticides.
Abstract: Compounds for insecticidal control, having the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is methyl or ethyl; R.sub.2 is C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 alkyl or bromo-C.sub.4 -alkyl and R.sub.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 bromoalkyl or 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl, together with insecticidal compositions containing such compounds, and methods for controlling insects.
Abstract: A biologically active agent-containing composition is prepared by reacting an aqueous emulsion or dispersion of a suitable biologically active agent and an optional filler in an aqueous solution or gel of a polyhydroxy polymer and an inorganic salt, with a boric acid or boric acid derivative until an insolubilized matrix phase is formed having entrapped therein uniformly dispersed, discontinuous domains of said agent and an optional aqueous phase that can be separated from the matrix phase by decanting, filtration, or the like; the product is then dried and ground to the desired particle size. The composition is applied to the soil or plants where the biologically active agent is slow released for controlling pests.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of the sulphenic acid amides of the general formula (I) ##STR1## in which X represents identical or different halogen atoms,Y.sup.1 and Y.sup.2 are identical or different and represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, halogenoalkyl or NO.sub.2 andZ represents halogen, --OH, --NHOH or the group --OR.sup.1,in whichR.sup.1 denotes optionally substituted radicals from the series comprising alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl and heterocyclyl, orZ represents the group ##STR2## in which R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are identical or different and denote hydrogen or a heterocyclic radical, orZ represents the group --OMin which M denotes ammonium or the equivalent of an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or heavy metal cation, for prolonging the duration of a high activity in agents for combating soil pests.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of a compound (a), an oomycetes controlling fungicide having the structure element of formula I ##STR1## in which X is CH or N, in association witha compound (b), selected from CYMOXANIL and Phosetyl-Al in combatting or preventing fungal diseases, and fungicidal composition comprising such compounds.
Abstract: Compounds having the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl; R.sub.2 is C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 alkyl; R.sub.3 is hydrogen, halo, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, phenoxy, cyano, nitro or C.sub.2 -C.sub.5 carboalkoxy; n is an integer from 1 to 5; --A-- is ##STR2## R.sub.4 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, or --CH.sub.2 Y; m is 0 or 1; and Y is halo, are insecticides.
Abstract: O-(2,2,2-trihalogenoethyl) S-alkyl (di)thiophosphonates of the formula ##STR1## in which X is oxygen or sulphur,Y is halogen,R.sup.1 is alkyl or optionally substituted aryl, andR.sup.2 is alkyl.which exhibit insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal activity. Intermediates therefor of the formulas ##STR2## in which Z is one equivalent of an alkali metal or ammonium ion, andR.sup.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, are also new.
