Abstract: The present invention relates to a WNT-derived novel peptide and use thereof. WNT-derived peptide of the present invention possesses identical or similar activities to natural-occurring WNT protein, and has much higher stability and skin penetration potency than natural-occurring WNT protein. Therefore, the composition containing the present peptide not only shows excellent effects on improvement in hair loss (for example, promotion of hair growth or production of hair), but also has superior efficacies on treatment of a WNT signal transduction pathway-related disorder. In addition, the outstanding activity and stability of the present peptide described above may be greatly advantageous in application to pharmaceutical compositions, quasi-drugs and cosmetics.

Abstract: The various embodiments relate to peptide antagonists of ?c-family cytokines, Interleukin-2 (IL-2), Interleukin-4 (IL-4), Interleukin-7 (IL-7), Interleukin-9 (IL-9), Interleukin-15 (IL-15), and Interleukin-21 (IL-21). The ?c-cytokines are associated with important human diseases, such as leukemia, autoimmune diseases, collagen diseases, diabetes mellitus, skin diseases, degenerative neuronal diseases and graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). Thus, inhibitors of ?c-cytokine activity are valuable therapeutic and cosmetic agents as well as research tools. Traditional approaches to inhibiting ?c-cytokine activity involve raising neutralizing antibodies against each individual ?c-cytokine family member/receptor subunit. However, success has been limited and often multiple ?c-cytokine family members co-operate to cause the disease state. Combinatorial use of neutralizing antibodies raised against each factor is impractical and poses an increased risk of adverse immune reactions.

Abstract: The present patent application relates to a plant protein and mineral powder-based collagen mask, comprising the following constituents by weight percentage: Soya Protein: 1.2-1.5; Ethylene Glycol Phenyl Ether: 0.2-0.5; the rest is purified water. The plant protein and mineral powder-based collagen mask produced by the formula of the present patent application has a strong hydrating function. The moisture content of the plant protein and mineral powder-based collagen mask can be as high as 90%. When meet 37-38 degree body temperature, the plant protein and mineral powder-based collagen mask will release moisture slowly and fully releases after 4-5 hours, so that the skin always keep being moist. Meanwhile, the plant protein and mineral powder-based collagen mask of the present patent application will not suck back the moisture of the skin.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a molecular signature of cutaneous pigmentary spots, comprising the genes MXRA5, LYZ, CTSL2, PLAU, TIMP1, EFEMP1, ECM1, ASPN, HS3ST6, PAPLN, CHSY1 and FLRT2, and various applications of this signature. In particular, the invention concerns a method for characterizing a known or suspected pigmentary spot in a human being, comprising comparing the levels of expression in skin samples obtained from said spot and from adjacent undamaged skin, of at least one dermal gene linked to matrix remodelling or to its extracellular proteoglycan and glycoprotein components, selected from the list constituted by the genes MXRA5, LYZ, CTSL2, PLAU, TIMP1, EFEMP1, ECM1, ASPN, HS3ST6, PAPLN, CHSY1 and FLRT2. The invention also concerns methods for evaluating the efficacy of a pigmentary spot treatment, cosmetic and therapeutic methods for the treatment of pigmentary spots, and various modulators for said genes, and their use.
