Abstract: The invention relates to the combined administration of a PDE4 or PDE3/4 inhibitor and a disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARDs) or anti-rheumatic or anti-arthritic drug.
Abstract: The compounds of the present invention are 2,6,9-trisubstituted purine derivatives which are inhibitors of cyclin/cdk complexes. The compounds of the current invention also are potent inhibitors of human cellular proliferation. As such, the compounds of the present invention constitute pharmaceutical compositions with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Such compounds are useful in treating a disorder mediated by elevated levels of cell proliferation in a mammal compared to a healthy mammal by administering to such mammal an effective amount of the compound.
Abstract: This invention is directed to the use phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors in the treatment of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) induced sexual dysfunction. Specifically, this invention is directed to a method for treating an animal to cure; prevent or ameliorate SSRI induced sexual dysfunction which comprises administering to the animal an effective amount of the inhibitor. The animal may be a male or a female human. The invention also includes the use of such inhibitors in the manufacture of a medicament to prevent; cure or ameliorate SSRI induced sexual dysfunction. Moreover, the invention includes a kit comprising a SSRI, such as sertraline, fluoxetine, paroxetine, and a PDE5 inhibitor, such as sildenafil citrate, for the treatment or prevention of serotonergic associated disorders such as depression, obsessive compulsive disorder or panic disorder, while reducing or preventing sexual dysfunction.
Abstract: The invention provides certain heterocyclic compounds, processes, and intermediates used in their preparation, pharmaceutical compositions containing them and their use in therapy; in formula (I), A is a group of formula (a) or (b).

Abstract: Compounds of the formula
wherein X is NR4R5, Y is selected from C1-C6 alkyl; alkoxyalkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl; C2-C6 alkynyl, alkoxy, aryl, or heteroaryl, or NR4R5, and R3 is selected from optionally substituted aryl or heteroaryl, optionally substituted, are neuropeptide antagonists and are effective in treating feeding disorders, cardiovascular diseases and other physiological disorders related to an excess of neuropeptide Y.
Abstract: The present invention comprises novel and known purine and pyrimidine nucleoside derivatives which have been discovered to be active against hepatitis C virus (HCV). The use of these derivatives for the treatment of HCV infection is claimed as are the novel nucleoside derivatives disclosed herein.

Abstract: Inhibitors of integrin-linked kinase (ILK) are used in the treatment of inflammatory disease, including cutaneous inflammatory diseases, such as psoriasis, scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus and atopic dermatitis.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of transplanting hematopoietic cells between genetically unrelated individuals, comprising administering to the recipient, in combination with the administration of the hematopoietic cells, an amount of mononuclear cells which are treated so as to substantially reduce their ability to cause graft versus host disease while they retain their ability to proliferate in the recipient. The treated mononuclear cells can facilitate engraftment of hematopoietic cells when transplanted in combination with hematopoietic cells, treat or prevent infections, and treat cancer.

Abstract: Methods for modulating the axonal outgrowth of central nervous system neurons are provided. Methods for stimulating the axonal outgrowth of central nervous system neurons following an injury (e.g., stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, cerebral aneurism, spinal cord injury and the like) and methods for inhibiting the axonal outgrowth of central nervous system neurons are also provided. Finally, a packed formulation comprising a pharmaceutical composition comprising an inosine nucleoside and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier packed with instructions for use of the pharmaceutical composition for treatment of a central nervous system disorder is provided.
