Abstract: The present invention is a mobile performance stage mounted on a hydraulic lift truck for enabling a quick and easy performance setup in a location that does not already have a dedicated stage. The lift truck supports a hydraulic lift mechanism, which supports the stage and enables the stage to be elevated to a desired height. The stage is a rectangular cuboid resembling a cargo hold of most cargo trucks, with doors at each of the four lateral sides that open to reveal a performance area. The perimeter of the stage is outlined by short sidewalls except for the side of the stage between the performers and the audience. The stage comprises trusses outlining the vertical sides and roof of the stage for mounting lighting and other performance equipment. The stage also comprises a digital display, a safety railing, and a utility platform.

  • Publication number: 20120279142
Abstract: Prefabricated foldable building units are described that have one or more of the following advantages. They are more easily prefabricated, more easily transported to building sites without requiring special permits, unloadable and unfoldable at the building sites without using cranes (they can be unloaded using ground-level lifting rigs and unfolded using, for example, a cable mechanism), allow precise and fast completion at the building site, and allow significant reduction in the scope of work to be completed on-site, where costs and scheduling are far less manageable. Further, methods for unloading and unfolding foldable building units are described that obviate the need for one or more cranes that can be expensive and project-complicating, thereby opening up a significant percentage of building sites for placement of prefabricated foldable building units.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a high-capacity drilling rig system that includes novel design features that alone and more particularly in combination facilitate a fast rig-up and rig-down with a single set of raising cylinders and maintains transportability features. In particular, a transport trailer is disclosed having a first support member and a drive member which align the lower mast portion with inclined rig floor ramps and translate the lower mast legs up the ramps and into alignment for connection. A pair of wing brackets is pivotally deployed from within the lower mast width for connection to the raising cylinder for raising the mast from a horizontal position into a vertical position. A cantilever is pivotally deployed from beneath the rig floor to a position above it for connection to the raising cylinder for raising the substructure from a collapsed position into the erect position.

Abstract: Work crews temporarily operating in remote areas can be subject to dangers such as tornados, hurricanes and explosive blast waves. A re-deployable mobile aboveground protective shelter suitable for use in such environments utilizes retractable stabilizing arms and/or structures that leverage air pressure differential to resist uplift, overturning and sliding. Because the protective shelter does not rely exclusively upon excessive weight to counter wind forces, the protective shelter can be quickly, easily and inexpensively redeployed to new sites.
