  • Patent number: 7712265
Abstract: A special high durability, building device and process to construct same. This device is essentially comprised of a base or chassis, an expanded polystyrene foam, structural members (of various materials and shapes) inside the foam and a cementitious material sprayed on the exterior of the foam. The configuration is such that the walls, floor, and roof are rigidly attached to each other yet maintain good flexural strength to resist wind loads and temperature changes. The system is anticipated for mobile and manufactured homes as well as other residential and commercial use. The construction of buildings has the cementitious coating to most surfaces and the structure uses minimal or no non-durable materials such as wood, nails, and screws. This provides resistance to surface damage to walls, rot, and decay.

The support frame further comprises a plurality of removably interconnected rails. A flat planar platform portion is being removably mounted upon the lower support frame. A plurality of leg members are being disposed underneath the lower support frame at each corner such that the platform portion is held in a substantially level position at a predetermined height in relation to the recreational vehicle door. Each leg member is removably connected to each corner of the lower support frame. The upper support frame is removably connected to the lower support frame and extends linearly upward. At least one step means provides for ingressing and regressing onto the platform portion. The at least one step means is located at a predetermined distance from the lower support frame and at a predetermined height in relation to the ground level.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system, or kit, of injection molded panels having integrated connectors which combine to form an enclosure, commonly in the form of a utility shed. The bilaterally symmetrical panels are formed of injection molded plastic to interlock with one another without the need for separate I-beam connectors. The ends of the wall panels have cavities to accept both roof and floor outwardly projecting interlocking posts for interlocking cooperative engagement which serve to rigidly connect the components together. The bilateral symmetry of the wall, roof, floor and door components also minimizes component shapes and simplifies enclosure construction.

Abstract: A portable pre-fabricated sports and hunting shed includes a substantially solid rectangular structure having an integral projecting element attachable to any standard trailer hitch and, at an opposite longitudinal end thereof, a pair of wheels, an adjoining axle, and means for journaling the axle, which means is attached to a base of the shed to thereby provide a rear wheel means by which the sports shed may be towed by a vehicle to which the trailer hitch is attached. Alternatively, the portable, prefabricated hunter's blind may be placed within a pickup truck to be hauled thereby. A four-wheel, off-road vehicle is placed within the portable shooting shed and over four disassembled legs of the assembly and other elements associated with the shed. By positioning the four-wheel off-road vehicle on top of all elements of the shed, the undesirable movement of the parts of the pre-fabricated structure during hauling is minimized.

Abstract: In the present invention, a removable support member factory built garage/carport has a design that allows for the support members and associated support structures to be removed from the garage area during the installation process. During this process, the weight of the garage is transferred to the foundation and then the garage support members are removed from the garage area while the rails are left intact under the home. This allows the concrete garage floor to be poured at any desired level, before or after the home is installed.

Abstract: A molded plastic skid base for a resin building is formed with all of its openings facing downward and with runners integral with a deck that forms a floor of the base. Replaceable wear plates cover the bottoms of the runners and have truck loading notches molded at their ends and a longitudinal channel in which fastener heads are positioned. Stake down slots are provided in the ends of the runners and wear plates in a diagonal orientation so as to be aligned toward the center of the building, below the base. The floor of the base is a grid formed of diagonally oriented ribs, at least some of which may be shorter in their center than at their ends, is crowned in the center and has openings which taper upwardly. A solid sheet may be placed over the grid to close it.

  • Patent number: 6766619
Abstract: The invention provides a kit of structural building elements for rapid erection and assembly to form a living space having a ridged roof, wherein the elements (1, 2) are linked together and comprise a central prism-like element (1) and corresponding outer elements (2), said elements being arranged so that in a first state, suitable for transportation, they form an essentially cuboid structure having overall dimensions not equivalent to those of a standard 40 foot freight container and, in a end, erected state, the outer parts are raised to form a roof ridge line (3). Erection of a prefabricated building using the kit of parts can be effected without the need for heavy lifting machinery by pushing the outer elements (2) inwardly so that they slide up the sloping faces of the prism like central part.

Abstract: A portable enclosure for temporary shelter purposes as a storage building or workshop at remote construction sites comprises a plurality of articulable frames mounted on a towable boom, which may be coupled to a towing tractor, and which has wheels at the other end so that it may be towed. Each of the frames has first to fourth frame members, with a first cylinder mounted between the boom and the first frame member to adjust the tilted disposition of that member with respect to the boom to vertical. The angle between the second and third members is adjusted by a second cylinder. The fourth member also assumes a vertical orientation. Thus, each of the first and fourth frame members of each frame is articulable to a substantially vertical orientation, and they are horizontally distanced one from the other so as to form a storage or workshop space between them.

  • Patent number: 6681531
Abstract: The present invention provides a drive mechanism for a slide-out room including a support rail for mounting under the slide-out room and moving through a guide mounted to the vehicle. The support rail includes a rack which is driven by a pinion gear mounted within the guide. A pair of motors turn the pinion gear to drive the room between the extended and retracted position. According to one embodiment of the invention, the drive mechanism is attached to the vehicle floor and disposed almost entirely within a cavity formed in the room floor. A pair of bevel gears connected to the pinion gear extend from the guide and mate with a corresponding pair of bevel gears driven by the pair of motors. Accordingly, the motors, which cooperate to provide the power needed to move the room, may also be disposed within the room floor.
