  • Patent number: 10125491
Abstract: The installation of panelized wall systems requires the use of connection tracks to both align and hold the panels in the precise location according the specification provided in the structural engineered plans. Some panelized wall systems are comprised of two panels disposed in a parallel position so as to define a wall cavity to contain plumbing, other utilities and insulation. In the prior art, connection tracks are made of one monolithic piece, which has the unfortunate characteristic of transferring thermal energy from one side of the connection track to the other. Disclosed embodiments break the thermal bridge of the prior art while maintaining the structural integrity of the prior art embodiments. While the disclosed connection tracks achieve desired thermal properties, they present new challenges in installation. A disclosed jig and corner installation system is required to install the disclosed connection tracks in a precisely parallel position to each other.

Abstract: A panel wall system includes a frame assembly adapted to support a plurality of skin assemblies in a floor-to-ceiling relationship, wherein the skin assemblies include solid panel assemblies as well as captured glass skin assemblies. The solid panel assemblies are coupled to the frame assembly via latch mechanisms having actuator levers which are accessible in gaps formed between adjacent solid panel assemblies, wherein a user of the wall panel system can discern whether or not a panel assembly is properly engaged with the frame assembly based on the visibility and positioning of the actuator lever.

Abstract: A device raises drywall off of a flooring surface. The device cooperates with a track which is connected to the flooring surface, the track having a side wall. The device includes a rod to which are connected a plurality of spaced apart clips. The clips are shaped and dimensioned to connect to the side wall of the track so that the rod resides outside the track and rests upon the flooring surface. The drywall is then placed upon the rod and thereby is spaced apart from the flooring surface.

Abstract: Brackets for an office partition system permit the off-modular attachment of articles of furniture, such as cabinets, above the upper edges of panels in the partition system. The width of the furniture article may be either equal to, less than, or greater than the width of an underlying panel. Also, the location of the furniture article may be adjusted relative to the underlying panels such that the location of the furniture article is not determined by the size or position of an underlying panel to which the furniture article is attached.

Abstract: A demountable modular wall system including a series of individual wall panels that can be positioned adjacent to each other. The demountable wall system includes a doorway defined by a pair of spaced vertical posts and a horizontal header. In one embodiment, a sliding glass door is movable along a sliding door track mounted to the horizontal header. A lower trim assembly mounted to the bottom end of the sliding glass door adjusts the overall height of the door. The doorway can also include a pivoting glass door. The pivoting glass door includes a bottom pivot assembly having a bottom clamp adjustably positioned along a bottom end of the pivoting glass door. The adjustable bottom clamp can be moved along the bottom end of the pivoting glass door and receives a pivot pin supported on the floor. A top pivot assembly includes a movable plunger that defines a portion of the pivot axis for the pivoting glass door.

  • Patent number: 8733044
Abstract: The present invention concerns a sectional rail system which is constructed with the known outer rails with U-shaped cross-section and intermediate rails with C-shaped cross-section, and which is peculiar in that each of the retention means of the outer rail includes at least one stop pin which is disposed close to the inner side of the screw web of an outer rail, preferably two stop pins disposed opposite each other close to the inner side of the screw webs of the outer rail, where each stop pin furthermore is provided with a support flange for supporting an end part of the reinforcement web of the intermediate rail. The fastening means of the outer rail may thus include one, two or more stop pins, and one or more resilient lock pins. Hereby may be achieved provision of a tool-free assembly method for the sectional rail system and that by screwing on plate covering close to the edge part of the intermediate rail, it is avoided that the screw web and the associated reinforcement web “capsize”.

  • Patent number: 8646231
Abstract: The connection between two partitions of offices is assured by a post of angle and a spacer. The section of the post of angle contains a circular part and a neighboring part in the shape of dovetail. The spacer is a profile, a section of which corresponds to a truncated triangle. The base and the extremities of the sides of the spacer contact the circular part of the post of angle. This contact assures of one part the alignment of both profiles and on the other hand a finish of joint whatever is the angle between partitions. The fixation of an element of partition such as one profile (22) or a facing in the U profile is assured by an intermediate profile snapped up at the bottom of U of the U profile. The fixation of a profile in a U profile is realized by insertion of the extremity of the profile in the hollow of U followed by a rotation of a quarter of tour of the profile around its main axis to clamp its extremity in the U.
