A biasing mechanism positioned within the tube provides for adjusting the overall length of the tube. In one embodiment, a locking mechanism is located within the tube to prevent the telescoping members from moving relative to each other thus preventing the tube from being reduced in length and removed from first and second mounting assemblies and removed from the opening.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2002Publication date: March 13, 2003Inventor: Robert Norman Hales

Publication number: 20030014940Abstract: Sectional door panels include formed metal or plastic skin parts with opposed upper and lower edges configured to form pinch resistant connections between adjacent panels. The skin part edges include spaced-apart slots for receiving locating flanges formed on opposed end stiles and one or more intermediate stiles to provide for the stiles to be positively located with respect to the panel skin part during assembly thereof. Snap together hinge parts are provided with bosses cooperating with slots formed in the stiles for positively locating the hinge parts with respect to the stiles and the skin part. Mechanical fasteners connect the hinge parts and the stiles to the skin parts. The hinge parts include cooperating pin and pin receiving bore portions with the bore portions being formed in part by elastically deflectable fingers whereby the hinge parts may be snapped together during assembly of the door by stacking one panel on top of another.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 23, 2001Publication date: January 23, 2003Applicant: OVERHEAD DOOR CORPORATIONInventors: L. Patent number: 6425221Abstract: A method for fabricating muntin grid pieces includes steps that attach a pair of material strips to opposed edges of the muntin bar element. The material strips may be provided in side-by-side strips that may be separated an simultaneously applied to the opposite sides of the muntin bar element. The connection between the material strips and the muntin bar element may be made with an adhesive or a mechanical connection. The method allows the material strips to be connected to the muntin grid pieces before the muntin grid pieces are assembled into a muntin bar grid for a window.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2000Date of Patent: July 30, 2002Assignee: Edgetech I.G., Inc.Inventor: Gerhard Reichert
