Abstract: Provided is an accumulative sliding construction method of segmental track-changing for unequal-span structure, which divides the unequal-span structure into at least two sliding sections according to span variation, and a plurality of track segments corresponding to the spans of each sliding section. By providing sliders on the main truss/beam of each sliding section at positions corresponding to the track segments that each main truss/beam need to pass through, the sliding section smoothly passes through the sliding track segments to be in position; in addition, the main truss/beam of each sliding section is provided with temporary lengthening auxiliary structure or divided into an initial-mounted unit and rear-mounted units to allow the main truss/beam of each sliding section to pass through the track segments smoothly and to be in place.

Abstract: A method for processing an image is provided in which an omnidirectional image is received. The omnidirectional image is displayed on a display. Two panoramic images are generated based on the omnidirectional image by correcting distortion of the omnidirectional image. The two panoramic images are displayed on the display in response to a user input. Both of the two panoramic images are scrolled in response to a user input conducted on one of the two panoramic images displayed on the display.

Abstract: A portable training studio is disclosed. The portable training studio includes an expandable structure that is reconfigurable between a transport configuration and a use configuration. The expandable structure includes: a frame; a first door that is pivotably connected to the frame such that the first door is movable between an open position and a closed position; and a first deck that is pivotably connected to the frame such that the first deck is movable between an open position and a closed position.

Abstract: A portable stage includes a folding framework supporting a removable deck. The framework includes opposing folding end framework assemblies and opposed side framework assemblies. The framework folds from an extended position for use and a folded positon wherein the framework is compact for storage. The side framework assemblies each include corner columns connected by angled portions having a V configuration forming an open space below the deck. The decks connect with pin connectors that extend into through holes in the deck. The pin connectors having a threaded connector supporting a pin that provides for relative axial movement when the pin is rotated from above to adjust stage height. Removable guardrails include mounting brackets that attach to the pin connectors.

Abstract: A powered side panel system is used in conjunction with a loading bed found on trailers and other flatbed vehicles. The system includes a side panel having a vertical member. The side panel is configured to pivot about a panel axis in communication with the trailer. A lever arm extends between the side panel and an actuator. The actuator pivots the lever arm about a lever axis. The lever arm contacts the vertical member and controls the rate of radial motion of the side panel about the panel axis. A control unit is configured to regulate the operation of the actuator device.

Abstract: A food truck park for mobile food trucks provides a destination with a unique atmosphere and improved layout for arranging the food trucks. The food park includes a parking area and a raised pedestrian walkway. The walkway includes extended pier portions that extend into the parking area. The extended pier portions define parking slips for the mobile food trucks. The walkway is raised with respect to the parking area to provide easy access to the service windows of the mobile food trucks. The food truck park may further include electrical hookups for the mobile food trucks.

Abstract: A cinema theater includes a seating area, a curved screen in front of the seating area and at least one projector. In one aspect, the seating area is preferably a stadium seating area and the at least one projector is positioned behind and above the stadium seating area. In another aspect, the curved screen has a center point and the at least one projector is mounted at an angle of incidence to the center point of the screen of between ±5° horizontal and ±5° vertical. In yet another aspect, the seating area that has an upper seating area and a lower seating area and the at least one projector is positioned at the front of the upper seating area.

Abstract: Modular shelving systems and display shelves for modular shelving systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, a modular shelving system includes a shelf support frame comprising a back plane portion and a base portion. At least one display shelf module is removably coupled to the back plane portion of the shelf support frame such that the display shelf module is vertically and horizontally positionable on the back plane portion of the shelf support frame. The display shelf module may include a top and bottom panels, and side panels that define an interior volume. A display panel may be affixed to a front of the display shelf module. A projector may be disposed in the interior volume of the display shelf module. The projector projects an optical signal onto a rear surface of the display panel such that image data is visible on a front surface of the display panel.

Abstract: A system and method for triggering movement of a user in a virtual immersive environment is disclosed. Embodiments provide evaluation criteria derived from a motion capture system to trigger movement of the user within a virtual world when the user moves, within an actual space of the environment, from a first location within a first zone to a second location within a second zone. The first zone and the second zone are concentric.

Abstract: A method of processing an image includes receiving an omnidirectional image. An instruction is received with a processor to process the omnidirectional image to generate a rectangular image, in response to user input via a display on the omnidirectional image. At least one intermediate image is generated showing a transition between the omnidirectional image and the rectangular image.

Abstract: A mobile arched telescopic deployable stage system. The system has a stage portion, with a main stage portion and a plurality of extension stage portions. The extension stage portions are hinged to the main stage portion and deployable from an undeployed, folded state to a deployed, flat state. Deployable legs extend under the stage portion. The system has an arched frame portion with a right side section and a left side section, each having a lower arched portion and an upper arched portion. In a shorter, undeployed state, the upper arched portion is unextended from the lower arched portion. In longer, deployed state the upper arched portion extends from the lower arched portion. Terminal ends of the upper arched portions are pivotally attached to each other, and each of the lower arched portions being pivotally attachable at lower ends thereof to the stage portion. Raising devices raise the arched frame portion from the stage portion.

There are two tiers for seating. The upper tier would be for regular, stadium style seating, while the lower tier would be for VIP seating with fully reclining seats. The lower and upper tiers are completely separated, each offering its own ingress/egress access, with a balcony overhang from the upper tier cantilevered over the lower tier.

Abstract: An expansion joint system for bridging an expansion joint gap between two spaced-apart underlying stair structures. The expansion joint system includes a movable plate that is connected to a fixed plate through a hinge. The hinge connection permits the movable plate to move in response to thermal movements and seismic events that causes the width of the expansion joint to open to a greater width or close to a smaller width. After the passengers have boarded, the carrying apparatus is moved into a second or viewing position, where passengers view 2D or 3D visual images displayed on a screen. This movement may be achieved by lifting or lowering the passenger carrying apparatus from cables or chains attached to a lifting system near the top of the theater. In this design, the movement is substantially vertical. The passenger carrying apparatus typically has multiple rows of seats, which may tilt front to back.

Abstract: A temperature compensating outdoor wall padding apparatus in one embodiment incorporates a stretch fabric into the edges of a vinyl cover to provide a tension on the vinyl cover minimizing the possibility of wrinkling of the vinyl cover due to a change in temperature. In another embodiment, the temperature compensating outdoor wall padding apparatus may employ a resilient cover, stretchable in 4 directions and pre-tensioned to provide tension on the resilient cover minimizing the possibility of wrinkling of the resilient cover due to a change in temperature. Methods for forming the same are also disclosed.

Abstract: Methods of and equipment for converting existing standard motion picture theatres to one having highly immersive, large fields of view are addressed. Aspects of the methods including moving motion picture screens closer to the audience and employing different projection equipment to avoid or minimize appearance of unrealistic or non-natural image artifacts. The fiber reinforced polymer composite panels are coupled to the attachment cradles, such that the electrically-conductive layer of the fiber reinforced polymer composite panel is in electrical continuity with the ground surface.

The system further includes a raised concrete barrier adjacent a second side of the pitch opposing the first side of the field, a first wall adjacent a third side of the field, and a second wall adjacent a fourth side of the field, the first and second walls perpendicular to the tiered seating extending between at least a portion of the tiered seating and the raised concrete barrier. The system further includes a plurality of air handling units for supplying cooling air to the tiered seating.

A compound curved screen may alternatively lower from above to surround the viewing area. A 2D/3D projection system may be used to create images on the screen. Integrated special effects located throughout the theater can be synchronized with the media presentation.
