  • Patent number: 10914077
Abstract: A wall (or roof) system includes: an exterior sheathing covers a frame, a plurality of spaced apart battens are affixed on the sheathing, and a siding in contact with the battens. Each batten includes: a backweb having two sides and a length, a plurality of elongated piers upstanding on each side of the backweb, each pier running the length of the backweb, and each pier having a distal surface, and a first air flow channel defined between adjacent piers and a horizontal pier cutting through adjacent piers. Air flows between airspaces created between the exterior sheathing and the siding by the batten. Air also flows through the first air flow channel and this air flow may reduce moisture entrapment between the batten and the siding or the exterior sheathing. The batten may also have a second air flow channel at an angle to the first air flow channel.

  • Patent number: 10849467
Abstract: A moulding usable in a corner joint between two structures features a base stem for adherence to the first structure using double-sided tape, and a cap attached to a proximal end of the base stem for placement against an outer surface of the second structure. The base stem features a break line at which a distal portion of the base stem can be cut, snapped or torn from a proximal portion of the base stem. If a sufficiently sized gap is present between the first and second structures, the base stem is left fully intact and inserted into the gap. In the absence of a sufficient gap, the distal portion of the base stem is detached at the break line, reducing to the base stem to a size that fits between the cap and the outer surface of the second structure.

Abstract: Two integrally formed multipurpose devices with the resemblance of an aesthetic pillar hollowed out incorporating a cove element at the lower portion that is preformed to fit over and cover intersecting comers of previously installed cove base used in the flooring industry. The Cove base corner cover provides a unified junction between the two adjacent sides of a corner. This invention also provides an inexpensive, simplistic and productive procedure for installations of inside and outside corners. Precision cuts along with most all of the numerous steps currently being utilized to navigate into or from and around intersecting comers is eliminated. The problems such as, the cove element collapsing into itself as well as the popping of the upper edge associated with wrapping cove base around a corner, is also eliminated and for the most part, frustration and aggravation incurred while facilitating installations at the corners is significantly reduced.

Abstract: A sheet is provided for placing a brick or tile facing on a support structure that has an arrangement of apertures for the passage of fluids such as water. The sheet has an approximately rectangular conformation that includes a front and a back. The sheet defines channels between longitudinally aligned parallel partitions that are separated by a wall. Each channel receives the thin bricks or tiles. The structure of the partitions varies and can include an upward facing first portion that has an arrangement of apertures and a downward facing second portion. A liquid, such as water, that drains down the front of the sheet passes through the apertures in the first portion to the sloped second portion and is then redirected to the back of the sheet. The apertures also provide for the circulation of air.
