  • Patent number: 9021766
Abstract: A baseboard for repair of a flood-damaged building and for construction of buildings located in areas prone to flooding, and a method of use of such a baseboard in repairing a flood-damaged building or in construction of buildings located in areas prone to flooding. The baseboard has one or more rearwardly-extending standoffs. A rear surface portion of the baseboard defines a plane, and a distal surface of the standoff(s) is spaced rearwardly from the plane by the standard thickness of wallboard mounted to studs on the building's wall. The bottom edge of the wallboard is above the “high-water” line, and the rear surface portion of the baseboard extends above the bottom edge of the wallboard and rests adjacent the outer surface of the wallboard with the distal surface of the standoff(s) supported by and resting adjacent the studs below the bottom edge of the wallboard.

  • Patent number: 8122658
Abstract: The baseboard has a side with a first contour and an opposite side with a second contour. In order to be able to mount the baseboard in either of two 180°-rotated positions, the baseboard has a longitudinally extending axis of symmetry. The first contour in a first edge region, rotated through 180° about the axis of symmetry, corresponds to the second contour in a second edge region. Moreover, the second contour in the first edge region, rotated through 180° about the axis of symmetry, corresponds to the first contour in the second edge region.

  • Patent number: 8056290
Abstract: The invention includes an end cover (32) for disposition over an end of a mantel (20). The end cover (32) presents a front corner (38) extending between an upper wall (34) and a lower wall (36) and is symmetrical rearwardly to a pair of side edges (42) from the front corner (38) whereby the end cover (32) may be disposed over either end of the mantel (20). The upper wall (34) of the end cover (32) extends between the front walls (44) and the side edges (42) and the lower wall (36) extends between the front walls (44) and the side edges (42). The upper wall (34) and the lower wall (36) each has the shape of a square with equal sides. The front walls (44) define interior surfaces complementary to the irregular pattern of the decorative face (24) of the mantel (20) and the end cover (32) overlies the mantel (20) the thickness of each front wall (44).

  • Patent number: 8015755
Abstract: The present invention is an integrated housing mounting system for mounting ornamentation to buildings. Mount components are attached to a building in place of J-channel, J molding, drip edge, gutter apron or siding. Rail components are assembled to the desired length using connector components and lights or signage are attached to a rail component using hooks. A guide member is placed at each end of the assembled rail and the rail is guided through an opening in the mount component securing the lights or signage to the building. The rail components are then guided through an opening in the mount component.
